Call of Duty: Black Ops 6has dozens of weapons for players to use in both multiplayer and Zombies. Each weapon you bring into Zombies comes with unique pros and cons that might mesh with your playstyle, ranging from high handling to unique Pack-A-Punch features that transform the weapon’s functionality.

Today, we’ll be ranking every weapon in BO6 Zombies in a tier list to see which weapons are the best of the best. Wonder weapons, rifles, snipers, and pistols are all included. Pack-A-Punch features and notable synergies are also considered, helping you decide which weapons to bring for high-round matches.

Black Ops 6 Terminus Cast

Updated July 03, 2025, by Charles Burgar:Season 4 has added some new weapons to the Zombies sandbox, including the fan-favorite FFAR assault rifle and LC10 SMG. We’ve updated this tier list to include every new weapon this season. All recent balance changes have also been accounted for when reranking certain weapons, notably all of the game’s pistols.

Tier List Rankings Explained

This tier list looks at how effective each Black Ops 6 weapon is in Zombies, focusing on high-round performance (Round 31+). Weapons that perform better in harder rounds are ranked higher. Pack-A-Punch gimmicks, such as the GS45’s explosive rounds, are taken into consideration. As for the tiers:

We arenot ranking melee weaponsin this list since they function more as stat sticks. Wonder weapons are all in the highest echelon of weapons in Zombies, so they are ranked in a separate category.

S-Tier Weapons

These weapons are the best of the best, ideal for pushing high rounds or completinga map’s main easter egg. Since wonder weapons are easily some of BO6’s best weapons, we’ve split this section between wonder weapons and standard ballistic weaponry. There aren’t many weapons in this category, but anything you use from this section is guaranteed to be strong.

Liberty Falls

Infinite ammo and excellent damage scaling.

Alt-fire is a Thundergun blast that scales well into higher rounds.

Black Ops 6 Ray Gun MK2 Icon

Wunderwaffe DG-2

Shattered Veil

Excellent damage for most rounds; strong crowd control on higher rounds.

Can achieve infinite ammo with Dead Again + Critical Eye augments.

Black Ops 6 Ray Gun Icon

Ray Gun Mark II (Including Variants)

Trades the Ray Gun’s AoE damage for precision damage. Excellent DPS and ammo economy.

Great ammo economy and solid AoE damage.

Black Ops 6 Beamsmasher Wonder Weapon Icon

Beamsmasher

Terminus

Excellent crowd control weapons with solid DPS. Suffers from poor ammo economy.

Strong crowd control once upgraded. Solid damage in earlier rounds.

Alt-fire creates an ice storm, freezing targets solid.

TheJet Gunreceived a massive rework in Black Ops 6 and is easily the best weapon for Zombies. Its primary fire lasts much longer, has infinite damage scaling, and cools off quickly when Pack-A-Punched. Its alt-fire mode is effectively a Thundergun blast that surrounds your character, instantly killing zombies at Rounds 40 and beyond.

Shattered Veil brings back some fan-favorite Wonder Weapons from previous CoD titles. TheRay Gun Mk. IIreturns with three unique variants, each mimicking a different weapon archetype. It doesn’t have the Ray Gun’s splash damage, yet the high critical damage multiplier on each variant makes this an S-tier workhorse for higher rounds. If you need crowd control, then theWunderwaffe DG-2won’t let you down.

Black Ops 6 Zombies Staff Of Ice Icon

While not quite as strong, theRay Gunis still a great weapon this year. It deals excellent damage, covers a small area with each shot, and is incredibly ammo efficient. We find theBeamsmasherto be a little weaker due to its low ammo reserves, but the weapon itself easily deserves an S-tier placement. The alt-fire slows targets and makes their heads glow, significantly increasing the damage they receive from your primary fire.

The baseIce Staffis somewhat underwhelming since it lacks an alt-fire, but once you upgrade it throughThe Tomb’s main easter egg, it becomes a CC powerhouse. The ice storm you can create through its alt-fire can freeze entire hordes of zombies in mere seconds, allowing for easy shatters with another weapon.

Black Ops 6 ASG-89 Weapon Icon

ASG-89

Slug-like accuracy while ADS

Absurd burst DPS if you spam the trigger, especially with the Dragon’s Breath attachment.

ADS allows you to land critical hits with a shotgun, drastically increasing your DPS.

Fires explosive rounds

SVD

Shotgun hipfire, massive ADS damage buff

Hipfire handles hordes well, while ADS is perfect for killing special zombies.

Best mobbing weapon in the game, excluding wonder weapons.

PAPs into Mustang and Sally (requires akimbo attachment for two pistols).

Significantly increased fire rate and ADS speed.

Excellent single-target DPS when Pack-A-Punched; high punch through.

Good choice for mobbing and fighting special zombies.

Every weapon in this section has a strong Pack-A-Punch gimmick. TheASG-89is now the best non-Wonder Weapon in the game due toDouble Tap, increasing the gun’s fire rate whiledoublingyour damage outright through the Double Standard augment. Shotguns in general received some serious love from Double Tap, but the ASG reaches Wonder Weapon-tier status with it active, especially if you’re using Dragon’s Breath.

Beyond that, theLR 7.62effectively turns into a bolt-action rocket launcher, while theSVDgains shotgun-like properties while hipfired. If snipers aren’t your cup of tea, theGS45gives you the iconic Mustang and Sally when Pack-A-Punched for some amazing crowd control. If you need more boss DPS, then theNail Gunwhen Pack-A-Punched can put out some absurd numbers.

Finally, theAMR Mod 4is a great pick for mobbing due to its absurd punch through. Group up the zombies, instantly ADS, and then mow them down with a few shots.

A-Tier Weapons

Weapons in this category aren’t quite best-in-class, but they offer a great mix of DPS and general utility. From the fast-firingFrostlinesniper to the massive magazine of thePP-919, the weapons in the A-tier category will never let you down in a typical Zombies match. Just don’t expect these weapons to excel past Round 40, at least without help from perks like Double Tap.

Elemental Swords

We ranked the Citadelle Des Morts wonder weapons in A tier due to their limited range, hit limits per swing, and underwhelming elemental properties. They’re the weakest wonder weapons in the game.

Gun effectively becomes semi-auto

Fires incredibly fast and has excellent precision damage.

Good choice for mobbing and special zombies.

GPMG-7

Improved hipfire accuracy

Great damage and fire rate for an LMG; long reloads can be removed outright with the Belt-Fed attachment.

Frenzied Guard grants infinite ammo if using Belt-Fed and the Frenzied Fire augment.

Maelstrom

Incredible weapon if you use Dragon’s Breath and run certain augments. S-tier DPS and virtually infinite ammo if you may fight up close.

Critical Eye (Death Perception) + Dead Again (Deadshot Daiquiri) can restore ammo per Dragon’s Breath tick, giving this weapon infinite ammo against crowds.

CR-56 AMAX

Strongest AR in zombies. Has excellent critical damage, fire rate, and mobility stats.

Grau Conversion Kit turns this into a monstrous assault rifle with minimal recoil.

Excellent DPS and minimal recoil.

Quadruples the magazine size

Highly mobile weapon with a monstrous magazine size.

Mediocre damage for an SMG, but the large magazine more than makes up for it.

Great DPS and mobility.

Feng 82

High base damage and headshot multipliers; bottomless magazine via the Belt-Fed attachment

High DPS and best-in-class mobility for an LMG.

Triples the magazine size

Large magazine size with extended mags and PAP. Solid all-rounder.

High DPS, but poor ammo economy.

XM4

Does a little bit of everything. Great damage, fire rate, and handling.

Sometimes struggles with ammo, but is otherwise a great pick.

Goblin MK2

Strong mobbing weapon when paired with the mini-rocket conversion attachment, but suffers from a small magazine and poor ammo reserves.

Low C-tier weapon without the conversion kit.

B-Tier Weapons

Here’s where we start seeing more niche options. TheSauggets a mention since its PAP variant with akimbo has one of the highest DPS values in the game, provided you land all of your shots. Both rocket launchers, theCigma 28 and HE-1, also get a mention since they can obliterate bosses with certain Gobblegums. TheGoblin MK2is also in this tier since its explosive aftermarket part makes it a solid mobbing weapon until the higher rounds.

Beyond that, everything else in this category ranges from mediocre to subpar. Nothing in B-tier is inherently bad, but not many of these weapons stand out.

Absurd DPS while akimbo, but suffers from poor ammo economy.

High damage and excellent mobility.

TR2

Fires in three-round bursts

Absurd critical damage when Pack-A-Punched, although it suffers from high recoil.

Double Tap does help with the feel of its PAP form.

Kompakt 92

Pinpoint hipfire accuracy

Becomes a strong weapon with the burst-fire attachment and Tactical Laser.

Default Kompakt 92 has awful ammo economy and low base damage.

High-damage SMG with pinpoint accuracy.

Average DPS, but makes great use of Rapid Fire and the CHF Barrel.

Binary trigger

Easy to max RPM due to the binary trigger mechanic.

High critical damage and fire rate, ideal for killing special and elite zombies.

Strong with akimbo and built for hipfire.

Fantastic DPS when Pack-A-Punched.

Suffers from poor range and low ammo reserves, especially with akimbo.

Has poor handling but an exceptional fire rate.

Model L

High precision damage for an AR, especially with a CHF Barrel installed.

High end of assault rifle DPS if you can land headshots.

Fast-firing AR with low recoil and solid damage.

Worse than the XM4, but it’s a solid option.

Excellent precision damage, but slow fire rate.

Greatly increased bullet penetration

PU-21

High damage and fire rate, but has some ammo issues in later rounds.

Attachments allow you to convert the PU-21 into an assault rifle for more handling.

High burst DPS, but poor ammo economy.

High precision damage, but awful range.

Absurd burst DPS, but horrendous ammo economy.

Better than the base Kompakt, but worse than its burst-fire version.

Larger magazine

Obliterates bosses, but is otherwise an average weapon.

XMG

Solid DPS held back by the longest reload animation in the game.

Can be addressed with the Belt Fed mod, but it still falls behind other options.

Essex Model 07

Immense one-hit damage if you land headshots, although it suffers from poor DPS.

Significantly better when used in tactical stance and with Double Tap.

C-Tier Weapons

C-tier weapons have subpar DPS values or awful ammo management, making them inefficient for most loadouts. You can make these weapons work with Pack-A-Punch and rarity upgrades, but the same can be said foranyweapon in BO6.Unless you’re doing camo challenges, you’re better off using something else.

Low damage and average fire rate.

HDR

Worst sniper in Zombies. Has no Pack-A-Punch gimmick and worse stats than the Frostline.

Poor precision damage for an SMG.

D-Tier Weapons

With Season 4’s various pistol buffs, there aren’t any weapons worthy of a D-tier placement.Every weapon in BO6 Zombies is at least reliable on higher rounds, although some guns are certainly better than others. The pistols previously in this tier are now solidly in the B tier.
