Summary

MrBeast has been caught up in a bunch of scandals over the past couple of months, including everything frominternal strife at his own company,to mold in his Lunchly products, to accusations ofpump and dump crypto scams. Throughout all of this, theYouTuberhas remained fairly silent, only really making statements about an investigation into his company following the situation with Ava Tyson.

However, a popular commentary YouTuber known as Oompaville was given the chance to speak with MrBeast in-person, and the resulting interview went up on Oompaville’s YouTube channel a few days ago. Unfortunately for Oompaville, a lot of people were very dissatisfied with the results of the interview, angered by how soft he was and his lack of willingness to push MrBeast about certain topics.

YouTuber Oompaville Responds To Mr Beast Interview Criticism

Most of the criticisms came from the YouTubeDrama subreddit, which were further exacerbated by comments from Oompaville taking the criticisms less than seriously. In a later post,he does admit that the interview wasn’t great and that he “did a poor job”, though many were still angered by his decision to do the interview if he wasn’t going to take it seriously, possibly preventing more qualified people from bringing MrBeast to task.

That brings us to today, and Oompaville has once again addressed some of the complaints about his interview, along with some of the reasons as to why he wasn’t taking it very seriously. In his own interview with Passionfruit, Oompaville explains that he was “very concerned with [his] video game” at the time, referring to the launch of his game development studio and the demo release of his debut game,Black Pine: Incident Response.

Because of this focus on his game, Oompaville admits that he “spent more time in Unity that day than [he] did writing questions for a MrBeast interview,” which he admits is “kind of embarrassing.” That has done very little to placate those upset with him, as a resulting Reddit thread on YouTubeDrama has now called Oompaville “extremely selfish and immature” for even agreeing to the interview in the first place.

A lot of accusations have now been thrown at Oompaville, such as MrBeast potentially using him as a convenient person to respond to, knowing that he won’t be pushed as hard as other popular YouTubers like Coffeezilla, who has a history of uncovering scams. We’ll never knowexactlywhy MrBeast chose Oompaville as the first person to get a full-blown interview, but it’s clear to see that the allegations won’t be going anyway as a result of it.
