Xbox boss Phil Spencer confirmed a while ago that the studio didn’t feel the need to launch a more powerful version of the Series X four years on from the console’s launch. It stuck to its guns and instead, in August, it revealed three new models, two for the Series X, and a Series S with twice as much storage space as the original.
The most impressive and most expensive of those three models is the Galaxy Black Series X. Not only does the new model have 2TB of storage - twice as much as the base model - but its design is unique from any of the Series X console options to have come before it. The same standard black as the regular Series X, but speckled with tiny green dots, making it look like a starry sky filled with far-off Xbox-themed stars.

If it’s there, it will be right underneath where the Series X appears in your cart.

The Galaxy Black Series X has 2TB, twice as much storage as the original console. Its design has been speckled green to give off the impression its covered in green stars, and the same shade of green has been used on its base and controller.
It’s a digital gift card which means you should be able to use it right away. Since the Galaxy Black Series X doesn’t come bundled with any games, perhaps you may use the gift card to pick up a couple while they’re on sale. Or stack a Game Pass sub. $75 will get you almost four months of Ultimate, taking you well into 2025 before you need to pay again.
