With making whimsical outfits with your different wardrobe pieces at the forefront ofInfinity Nikki, it’s no surprise that your assorted ability outfits are some of the most important you’ll find all game! These clothing sets allow Nikki certain powers outside her normal wheelhouse, but only while she’s wearing that outfit.
While some are more innate in the gameplay of Infinity Nikki, other ability outfits are a bit more niche, requiring you to switch between them for any given situation. Whether it’s their utility in Infinity Nikki’s story or their awesome stats, here are our favorite of the ability outfits.

9Symphony Of Strings
The Violin Outfit
While the outfit itself is as Sweet as can be, outside of the quest line that offers up the School Days outfit with the Pieceys over in the Stonewoods after you’ve unlocked the Abandoned District,the Violinist Outfitisn’t the most useful of the ability outfits.
Anytime you need to soothe another character after unlocking the Symphony of Strings outfit during the Stonewoods section of the story, Nikki will be made to play a few bars of music, but the minigame can be a little frustrating. You’ll need to switch between octaves to play different notes, which can make your songs sound pretty clunky. At least the Pieceys like your work, and you look cute grinding your way through a solo.
8Starlet Burst
The Shrinking Outfit
It might not offer up Momo’s unquenchable craving for barbecue food, butthe Shrinking Outfitin Infinity Nikki is a quick way to at least become his size for a moment! Once you reachthe Wishing Woods, you’ll soon be made to unlock the Scarlet Burst outfit so you’re able to navigate the Faewish Sprite’s small neighborhoods.
The outfit itself is really cute, with a statement hat shaped like a puffy white star, but you barely get to see it when Nikki has it on, since she shrinks down and sits atop Momo’s head. It’s adorable to watch our little feline friend run about and climb ropes for us, but we’d like to see our Sweet style here as well.
7Bye-Bye Dust
The Animal Grooming Outfit
Though you gain access toother ability outfits earlier, the Bye-Bye Dust outfit feels like the first of Nikki’s assorted ability outfits that you really need to earn. As soon as you arrive in Florawish and meet Giovanni, you’ll come across a few kids who need help sourcing the material to make string needed to hang Wishes on the tree.
This is how Nikki beginsgrooming animals and livestockto collect materials and resources, and finishing the Bye-Bye Dust outfit gives Nikki an interesting light blue and cream white puffy outfit. The shirt, though adorable with the blue paw print, is one of the less flattering of Nikki’s ability outfits in Infinity Nikki.
Thankfully, though, you do have one heck of a point total in the Sweet stat for wearing the whole Bye-Bye Dust outfit even before you begin to upgrade it, so if you’ve got a battle of Sweet style coming up, it might not hurt to borrow a few pieces fromthe Animal Grooming outfit.
6Fully Charged
The Electrician Outfit
We kind of figured this outfit had a stellar Cool stat even before we put it on and looked at its stats list – Nikki looks downrightslick and stylishin the Fully Charged ability outfit! The mechanic’s jumpsuit looks oddly chic on her, the accessories feel energetic, and the hairstyle of a tousled blackish bob is shockingly sleek.
The only reason it’s so low on our list is because its use is one of the more limited of the ability outfits in Infinity Nikki. Sure, there are times you’ll need to fix fuses as part of the story progression through dungeons, butthe Fully Charged outfitis a little difficult to repurpose if you’re just trying to make Nikki look cuteas you explore Miraland.
5Floral Memory
The Floral Gliding Outfit
A ton of the promotional photos for Infinity Nikki showed everyone’s favorite Stylist fluttering away on an oversized blue flower, and now that the full game is out, we’ve all fallen in love withthe Floral Gliding outfit! This Fresh dress brings a beautiful air of whimsicality to the skies over the Stonewoods!
Once you reach the Stoneville section of the story, you’ll be asked to unlock this outfit in the Heart of Infinity so that Nikki can soar across the skies of Stoneville and the Abandoned District with ease to reach distances not possible without it.
4Wind of Purity
The Purification Outfit
It’s not often you’ll need touse your combat abilityin Infinity Nikki, with Esselings being relatively unthreatening despite being the primary monsters Nikki needs to face out in the wilds of Miraland or in dungeons, and it’s sort of underwhelming when you do. Editor Tessa Kaur hassaid before that combat feels like an afterthoughtin Infinity Nikki, unfortunately.
What saves the Wind of Purity outfit is how outright sleek it looks, with the planetary flowing dress for Nikki, the strappy heels, and the striking headpiece.It’s one of the earliest Elegant outfitsyou’ll have access to in Infinity Nikki, and it’s striking when you get the odd chance to wear it throughout the game! It’s just not often you’re in combat, meaning you don’t see this ability outfit as much as we’d like to.
3Afternoon Shine
The Bug-Catching Outfit
There’s always merit to collecting thingsas you go through Miraland for the first time, and it’s early in the story of Infinity Nikki that you gain access to the Afternoon Shine outfit to enable your favorite girl tobegin catching the insectsfluttering through the air in Miraland. With the Bug-Catching outfit equipped, Nikki can stock up on all kinds of interesting bugs, which she’ll need for outfit fabrication and quests later on.
Not only does the Afternoon Shine outfit serve a useful purpose in terms of skills, but its Sweet score is one of the highest of the ability outfits in Infinity Nikki. Every single piece ofthe Bug-Catching ability outfitis easy to repurpose either in battle or just for everyday wear, and who doesn’t love something utilitarian and versatile?
2Rippling Serenity
The Fishing Outfit
Though it’s definitely not the worst of the fishing minigames we’ve ever played,fishing in Infinity Nikkisometimes feels like an afterthought, too, if you’re not dedicated to spending the days and nights out on the dock. There are a few Whimstars you’ll catch in the water like regular fish, but you’ll need the Rippling Serenity outfit to grab them.
Not only isthe Fishing ability outfitin Infinity Nikki adorable, but having it is essential to surviving your very first Stylist Battle against the Ebony Scissors as part of the main story. Donning the Rippling Serenity outfit in its entirety is enough to win the showdown, and plenty of the pieces of the outfit can be repurposed for other outfits. The jacket, hat, and pants all got a good amount of wear in our playthrough!
1Bubbly Voyage
The Floating Outfit
Your first ability outfit and probably the most essential of them all,the Bubbly Voyage outfitin Infinity Nikki has some of the highest stats of them all. If you’re in need of a Sweet outfit, it’s beaten only by the Bug-Catching outfit in terms of stats, but when considering how useful the skills associated with the outfits are, the Bubbly Voyage outfit can’t be beat.
This outfit gives Nikki the ability to float through the air after a jump, and in a game with an odd amount of precision platforming required to advance the main story, you couldn’t play the game at all without the Bubbly Voyage outfit there to help Nikki close distances no regular girl could.
The hairstyle on the Floating ability outfit is fun and completely nails the bubbly theme, the dress flows and looks glamorous and Nikki soars through the air, and each of the accessories fits seamlessly with plenty of other outfits. You’ll see the Bubbly Voyage outfit a lot as you play Infinity Nikki, with all the jumps and floats you’ll need to do to navigate Miraland, so good thing it’s this adorable!
