Quick Links
There are quite a few side quests that you’re able to complete throughout the campaign inPath of Exile 2. Upon completion, these quests reward gear, Passive Points, and even some permanent buffs, like Maximum Life, Elemental Resistances, Mana Regeneration, etc. Most of these quests involve defeating a boss, clearing an area, or something as simple as fetching an item for an NPC.
One such quest appears in Mawdun Quarry during Act 2, which requires you to locate Tinker’s Tools in the area. Since it is a fairly large area without any objective marker, it can get a little frustrating to find these tools. To help you with that, here is everything you need to know about finding Tinker’s Tools.
Where To Find Tinker’s Tools
Once youarrive in Mawdun Quarry, continue through the area until youreach a wooden bridge— there should be somemining work going on below. On the other side of the bridge, you will see theBook of Jamanra on a table. Keep going straight, and you will come to a checkpoint with achest near some tents.
Open this chest to collect the Tinker’s Tools. Lastly, remember that Mawdun Quarry isArea Level 17, so be sure to level up a little before attempting this.
Do note that thezone’s layout israndomly generated, but the item will always be in the same location.
How To Fix Tinker’s Tools Bug?
Grinding Gear Games has confirmed that theTinker’s Tools is buggedin Early Access. No matter how many times you open the said chest, you will not get the item. However, it does not mean you cannot complete the quest.
To complete the questand gray out the icon (completion status) on the map, repeatedlycreate new instances, run to the chest, andopen it until you get a white item. You will not complete the quest if you get a rare item orsome gold.
To create a new instance,go to Waypoint,Ctrl + LMB on the zone, andclick on New.
After collecting the white item, the quest icon on the Mawdun Quarry map will get grayed out, marking its completion. You willnot get the intended rewards, but it is nothing that breaks the endgame. Lastly, if you are playingin a group, onlythe first person who gets the itemwill complete the quest. This is why it isbetter to create separate instances.
