Tools and weaponry are pretty important in any RPG or survival game, and it’s the same forLuma Island. Your tools are how you’ll harvest pretty much every material needed for all your crafting recipes and your weapon, the Copper Whip, will help repel the dangers above and below the island.

you’re able to’t just keep the same tools and weapons around forever, though. The better the material, the stronger your tools need to be to harvest them, and you can’t go wrong with killing enemies a bit quicker. To upgrade them, you’ll need a special item alongside all the regular ingredients.

How To Get Tool Tokens

There arethree main waysto get Tool Tokens: breaking barrels and vasesin the Ancient Temples, breaking crates down in theAbandonedFarm Caves, oropening treasure chestsscattered throughout Luma Island.

The most reliable andeasiest way is via the Ancient Farm Temple, located near the center of your farm, next to the entrance to town. It has12 roomsyou’ll need togo through without leaving, but almost every room has at least one barrel or crate to break.

Each time you go into the Ancient Farm Temple, all the barrels and vases respawn, so you canfarm it for Tool Tokens and common resources.

By theend of a single run, you’ll often end up with around15 to 25 Tool Tokens, depending on your luck, and if it’s yourfirst timegoing through, thechest in room 12will also give you some, alongside a Mysterious Egg.

You’ve also got apretty high chanceof getting a few Tool Tokensfrom any chestsyou open, but the downside to them is thatthey don’t respawn, so you’ve only got alimited supply of themto get loot from.

Despite this, there’sa lot of them to find, and they’ll stillworth it to open, not only for the Tool Tokens, but theyfrequently drop different Spirits, loot like Copper Ore, and the chance to getrare items like the Magical Wheat Seed.

Treasurechests will occasionally wash up on the shore near your homeand those drop Tool Tokens like other chests.

You can alsofind Old Crateswedged in between all the Farm Rocks, ores, and charcoal while you’rein the Abandoned Farm Caves, but thesedon’t respawnunless youfind the reset devicefor the caves.

Each time youbreak one, you have asmall chance to get two to three Tool Tokens, but they’re ararer dropcompared to if you’re getting them inside an Ancient Temple and youaren’t guaranteed a decent amount.
