Having long been confined to mobile,Fantasian Neo Dimensionhas finally come to every other platform imaginable, so everyone can admire its beautiful dioramas. Everyone now also has the opportunity to be bewildered by one of the first side quests you pick up in the game.
Likely being the second side quest you find in the game, one might expect that the Beloved Cat quest would be simple, teaching you how to explore the world. But somehow, this cat really is missing, and it wants you to put in the work to find it.
How To Start The Beloved Cat Quest
After you’ve had your initial excursion on the Uzra, recruited Cheryl, and traveled through the Midi Toy Box of Vence, you’ll have acquiredthe Warp Device, letting you instantly travel back to previous areas. Leo’s first action is to get a nice omelet back in Vence, which leads us to our newly available quest.
Rather kindly, Fantasian highlights on the world map any previously visited areas that haveunacquired quests.
Back in En,head up to the Old District, near to Owen’s home, and take the path down to the lower left. Here, you will find a manbemoaning his missing cat. Talk to him to get started on the quest.
Where To Find The Missing Cat
After talking with the man, he recruits your help infinding his lost kitty, though gives no real sage advice on where it might be. Talk to him again for him to inform you that he’salready thoroughly searched both the Old District and the mountain pathleading to the New District. That leaves just theNew District and the Harbourto explore.
Except that’s slightly misleading. While the missing cat is not in either of these areas,there is an item you need to pick up in the Mountain Pathto actually convince this mischievous cat to return home. Head there now.
Once in the Mountain Path, head to the open area to the left. Just to the south-west of the chest, you will see some blocks sparkling.Interact with them to get the Piranhara Bones. These smelly bones (per the item description) are just what you need to lure this kitty home.
Next, head to the New District, and take yourself right tothe tight alleyway between the general store and Sid’s bar. While you might not have ever logically thought to search here for the cat,this leads to a new areainaccessible prior to starting this quest. Head into the alley now.
This will bring you to the back of a house. With nothing else to do here, head inside. Calmly resting inside will be two cats,one of which is the Beloved Catwe’ve been searching for. Approaching it with the Piranhara Bones in your inventory will cause it toautomatically run on home. Now you can happily return to the quest giver.
Make sure to pick up thefive Energy Drinks and 1,000 Goldfrom the chests before heading out.
Rewards For Completing The Beloved Cat
Delighted for the return of his missing cat, the man will reward you witha single Iron Key, and 1,200 Gold. A fairly paltry sum for how bizarrely difficult this quest is, but at least it’s better than nothing. Hopefully he’ll keep a better eye on his cat in future.
