As you explore the world ofFantasian Neo Dimension, you’ll come across plenty of chests, from simple wooden ones, to more ornate or mechanical ones. And often times, they’ll be locked, needing a rather specific key to unlock them.

One of those are the Machine Keys. In Act 1 of the game, these keys are basically unheard of, even though the chests for them are everywhere. Getting these keys is a rather specific affair, though the rewards for them are well worth it.

What Are Machine Keys Used For?

Like every other key in the game,Machine Keys are used for opening Machine Chests. Nice and simple. Machine Chests are mainly linked to the Machine Realm, though you’ll find a handful of them in the Human Realm as well.

That said, Machine Keys are next toimpossible to get before Act 2as they do not appear in the Human Realm at all, and are mostly gained from set drops.

Where To Get Machine Keys

Rescuing Missing Robots

The first means of getting Machine Keys, and where you’ll primarily get them for a while, is fromrescuing the robots that have been scattered across the Human Realm. There are ten robots to find in total, with a different reward for each one saved.

The robots can be found in any order, and they will steal offer the same rewards by the number of robots found.

In terms of Machine Keys, you are given them atone, three, five, seven, and nine robots saved. So every second robot. In total, they will give outseven keysto you. This is nice, though you can probably already tell, nowhere near enough to actually open every Machine Chest. Which leads to our second method.

Farming In The Wormhole

After you have rescued two robots, you unlock theLost In The Multiverse quest, the beginning of saving Kina and Cheryl. This also lets you jump into the Wormhole in the Machine Realm, which will eventually bring you to the Wormhole. Here is where you’re able to find even more Machine Keys.

After unlocking the Wormhole as a dedicated location, you can explore it freely, returning whenever you want. Of the many enemies that spawn here,Key Orblings holding Machine Keysare chief among them. All it takes now it a little bit of farming.

The best strategy here is to just run back-and-forth between the Warp Point and the next areauntil the Dimengeon fills up, and them defeat every enemy inside. Keep at this, and you’ll have a stockpile of Machine Keys in no time.

Key Orblings are muchless likely to run away when battled in the Dimengeon, making it much easier to farm the keys this way.
