Before you jump the gun inIndiana Jones and the Great Circle, you’ll want to focus on finding the Adventure Books in the Vatican to improve Indy’s Survival, Fitness, and Brawling capabilities, among others. Instead of a traditional skill tree, perks and abilities are unlocked by locating and activating these books in exchange for Adventure Points.
The Vatican City is the first region where you’ll find Adventure Books, with plenty scattered around. However, the open streets and winding alleys won’t make them easy to locate, especially with Blackshirt fascists patrolling the area. This guide will help you track them all down.
Where To Every Vatican City Adventure Book
The Vatican holds 23 Adventure Books, split across theSurvival,Fitness,Packing,Brawling, andCombat categories, and eachunlocks permanent perksthat improve Indy’s abilities. A sixth category,Exploration, however, featuresmap guides that mark collectible locationson the map, including the Adventure Books themselves.

Lucky Hat (1)
On a desk in thecaptain’s officein the Castel Sant’Angelo.
Indy picks up his fedora after getting knocked down, granting him a second wind, after which the ability goes on a cooldown.
Shaping Up (1-3)
Obtained from thepharmacist Valeriain exchange forMedicine Bottles, starting with five and increasing by five per upgrade.
Each upgrade permanently adds one bar to Indy’s overall health bar.
Hardboiled (1)
Sold in theUnderground Boxing Ringfor720 Liras, but requires the Blackshirt uniform to access the area.
Merges two health bars into one, making bandage use more effective.
Permanently improves Indy’s stamina recovery rate.
Climbing Ace (1)
From the pharmacy, head through thelarge wooden gate and take the stairs on the right. Use thebullwhip to climb the scaffold in the alleyway, thencheck the barrelnear the door.
Climbing becomes faster and consumes less stamina.
Iron Grip (1)
On some cratesin a section of theApostolic Castle that connects with the Excavation Site, accessedthrough the Sewers duringThe Mad Priest Fieldwork.
Effect
Fruit Bag
Afterescaping the Necropolisin the Underworld andmeeting Gina, use thezipline from the balcony to reach another balconywhere you’ll find it.
After acquiring the Fruit Bag,defeat the three Blackshirts belowtoget the Blackshirt Keyanduniform.
Doubles Indy’s fruit-carrying capacity.
Sawbones (1)
Sold in theUnderground Boxing Ringfor400 Liras, but you’ll need theBlackshirt Disguiseto access it.
Punch Out (1)
On a wooden crateinside theroom with the Guard House Keyacross the narrow street with the patrolling fascists in the Castel Sant’Angelo.
Knocking out an enemy restores stamina.
Brawler (1)
On top of a red boxinside thetower that connects to the Vaticanin the Castel Sant’Angelo.
Deal increased damage in armed and hand-to-hand melee combat.
Brawler (2)
On a desk insidea small tent in therestricted area of the Belvedere Courtyard. Since this area is teeming with enemies, it’s recommended towait until you acquire the Blackshirt disguise,so the enemies won’t suspect you.
Splinter Smash
Inside a chestwith a combination lock in thenortheastern tentin theBelvedere Courtyard.
The code is5238, found inside a table drawer in the same tent.
Deal increased damage with hits that break improvised weapons.
Street Scrapper (1)
Inside achestwith thecombination code 1136in thelocked cellar, accessed during the “A Savage Discovery Fieldwork"quest.
One-handed and two-handed weapons deal bonus damage.
Throttle
Found in Giuliana’s room in the Borgia Tower after completingA Nun In Trouble Fieldwork.
