In the long and engaging story ofSword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, you’ll encounter vast maps. On these maps, you can find many treasure chests, which contain Mods to strengthen your characters and healing spheres to restore health. However, one of the items considered a chest is the Data Cells.
Some maps only have one of these, and they can only be obtained once. When you collect them, you unlock Player Card Illustrations. This allows you to replace the in-game characters on your Player Card with chibi illustrations, letting you express yourself with these cute drawings in the multiplayer mode.
All Data Cell Locations In Chapter One
In the first chapter, a total of nine quests await you. These quests take place in maps like Wind Fairy Grasslands and Dusk Wastes, which are quite large. Below, you’ll find a list of all the Data Cell locations.

North of the Granite Elemental’s location, in the ruins area. You can’t go much farther north because of the barrier.
Located a bit further along the pathnorth of the Magma Elemental’s area.
Located at thebase of the rocky hill at the northeastern edge of the map.You’ll also find a Remnant and a Console here.
From the container area with the golden chestat the northeastern edge, head south.Hidden among the bushes at the base of the cliff, you’ll find this Data Cell.
Locatedsouth of the easternmost ship.After finding the two chests, continue further south, and you’ll find this Data Cell at the base of the cliff.
East of the southernmost strong enemy location, near the boundary barrier.
All Data Cell Locations In Chapter Two
In Chapter Two, there are a total of five quests, and each of them contains a Data Cell. Additionally, two out of the three side quests in this chapter also contain a Data Cell.
In the trees at thetop of the hill to the east of the western open area.
In the areaaccessed by the southern bridge, south of the island where you fought the Might Chariot boss.
On the roof of a low buildingnortheast of the large circular buildingin the southern part of the map. You can collect it by flying with Silica.
Go to the northeastern streeton the map,then head south.After passing through the large gate, you’ll find iton the roof of the building to the right, at the corner.
After heading southfrom the starting point,go east.You’ll find a volcanic pool to the north. This is locatedon one of the stone islets north of the pool.
North of the circular building in the southwest, next to a cylindrical tank.
Stand in themiddle of the northernmost street and move south.You’ll see a building with columns; it’s inside.
All Data Cell Locations In Chapter Three
Although there are seven quests in Chapter Three, not all of them contain a Data Cell. Additionally, one of the two side quests in this chapter contains a Data Cell.
After teleporting for the first time,head north, then follow the southern pathto its dead end to find this item.
After heading north from the room with bottomless pits, you’ll reach a corridor with guardians.This is locatedin a room to the east of this corridor.Be cautious, as many enemies will spawn after entering this room.
Locatedin the western room of the area with bottomless pitsand moving platforms. Break the glowing yellow wall on the southern side to find it.
Found farsouth of the Grand Paladin,near the border barrier in a flowered area.
All Data Cell Locations In Chapter Four
There are five quests in Chapter Four, and only two of them contain Data Cells. Additionally, there are quite a few side quests in this chapter, so verify to play them to obtain the Data Cells.
Go to the northeasternmost partof the map.Check the southeastern areato find a volcanic island accessible by a bridge. The Data Cell is there.
Head to the roadsouth of the Named Enemy.When the road splits, look for this on a rock to the west.
Cross to theeast side of the northern bridge, and you’ll see it.
All Data Cell Locations In Chapter Five
In the final chapter of the game, Chapter Five, there are many quests awaiting you, but most of them don’t contain Data Cells, as many of the quests are boss battles. Additionally, two of the side quests contain Data Cells.
Above the western barrier,near the ruins where the Furious Fortress boss is located.
Locatedin the northeasternmost room. If not collected, there is also a Chest and Console nearby.
In the dark area between buildings on the streeteast of the circular structure in the southwest of the map.
In the roomeast of the one before the second teleporter,alongside a chest. Be cautious as a Named Enemy is in this room.
West of the boss area, near the boundary barrier.
All Data Cell Locations In Additional Quests
After completing the game’s story, you’ll be able to play the additional quests. Two of these additional quests contain Data Cells. You should collect them to complete your collection.
Locatedon the eastern side of the map, near the trees by the pier.
East of the northern bridge, next to a column by the roadside.
