While going through Act Two inPath of Exile 2, you may find a unique relic that drops and starts the quest Ancient Vows. The description of this quest isn’t too informative, so you may be a bit unsure of what to do at this point.

In this guide, we are going to take a look at how to complete Ancient Vows. This quest will trigger when you find one of two different relics, but it doesn’t matter which one you find first. We’ll start with the Kabala Clan Relic, but if you already have that one, you’re able to skip this first section.

Where To Find The Kabala Clan Relic

Where To Find The Sun Clan Relic

This relic is found inThe Bone Pits.Rather than taking the caravan here from the Desert Map,you’ll first need to head to the Mastodon Badlands.

Once here, explore the area until youfind the entrance to The Bone Pits.By defeating enemies here, you’ll have a chance to get the Sun Clan Relic, which isalso displayed in green.

What To Do With Both Relics

With both relics in hand, you can nowmake your way to the Valley of the Titans. Here, you’ll now need tofind the waypoint for the area.To do this, simply run around until you see it.

Right near the waypoint, you’ll see analtar-type location with a Medallion.Approach this, and you’ll be prompted toadd the two relics to the slots there.Once this is done, you’ll have the option tochoose between two buffs.

Which Buff Should You Choose?

Below, you may check out the two buffs that you can choose from.

Which one should you choose? There is no correct answer here;it depends on what you value. If you are playing a class that relies on Mana, thenyou may benefit from flasks that recover a bit more Mana.

If, on the other hand, you rely on charms, then this buff may be more useful.Charms provide a variety of effects on hit, and refills, much like flasks. As such, charms may not be helpful all the time, but this is agood buff to have if you are about to head into a tough fight.

You will be able to change the chosen buff whenever you want; just return back to the Valley of Titans and select the buff that you want to be active.
