There are plenty of different formats in which you’ll find the numerous Whimstars as you venture through Miraland inInfinity Nikki, and one of the more involved fashions of obtaining them is by heading through the mysterious purple gateways known as Curio Domains.
By venturing into the different Curio Domains in Infinity Nikki, you’ll have the chance to solve a few short puzzles in exchange for another Whimstar. These Curio Domains can be revisited at any time by heading back to wherever you found that bright purple square to try again if you didn’t get the puzzle the first time.

Where Do You Find Curio Domains?
As you explore Miralandwhile progressing your way through the main story of Infinity Nikki, be sure tokeep an eye out for Momo telling you there’s a Whimstar nearby. His ability to sense and track Whimstars always comes in handy, but whether you’re using him to track them or not, you’ll occasionally be directed toWhimstars that appear as purplish pink cubesin the overworld.
Walking toward this mysterious cube opens alarge portal for Nikki to enter, which brings you into a Curio Domain. The very first one you’ll come across is likely to be in Florawish as you head into town for the first time, drawn through the fields toward the odd cube. The game will offer a brief tutorial about walking through these portals tosolve simple puzzlesin exchange for a Whimstar.
If you come across a Curio Domain that you don’t want to solve yet or need to come back to later for whatever reason (you need a new ability outfit or you’re just growing frustrated with the puzzle), you can simply turn around and leave through the portal you entered through. It’s just behind Nikki after she enters, and you’ll be brought back out into Miraland right where you entered the Domain.
After you’ve solved the puzzle in a given Curio Domain andobtained the Whimstar within, Nikki will be teleported back outside the Domain, and from then on, the cube will appear in the overworld as gray instead of purple to prevent you from backtracking into puzzles you’ve solved already.
Not only are there Courses related to collecting Whimstars in general, but one of them –No Prime Powers for Me!- specifies Whimstars that have come from inside of Curio Domains. To finish the final level of this Course, you’ll need to complete 50 total Curio Domains, though which ones they are remain up to you.
What Do You Do Inside A Curio Domain?
Inside Curio Domains, you’ll find all manner ofphysical puzzlesthat require you to use all sorts of different skills you’ve unlocked so far. If it’s not immediately apparent what the goal of the Domain is when you walk in,walking down the stepsin front of the entrance will make a line of text appear to tell you what your goal here is.
While most of the Whimstars in the overworld of Miraland are simple collectibles, you’ll need tofind a specific solution to each puzzlebefore the Whimstar becomes accessible. These Curio Domains often feature relatively simple puzzles that task you with all manner of physical tasks, offering puzzles that have requirements like:
No matter which puzzle you’re made to solve inside a Curio Domain, the reward will always be the same: anew Whimstarto add to your growing collection (or Whim Balloon for the ones on the Firework Isles), which you can then use to unlock new outfit sketches in the Heart of Infinity. After obtaining this Curio Domain’s Whimstar, you’ll be brought back outside of the Curio Domain to continue adventuring through Miraland one Whimstar richer.
