Synduality: Echo of Adatakes place in a world after a cataclysmic rainfall that wiped out most of humanity, forcing the remnants to seek shelter beneath the surface. life only goes from bad to worse though, when alien creatures arrive on the planet that seem keen on destroying those few humans that are left.

The majority of enemies you battle in Synduality are Enders, those self-same aliens. They are base creatures, capable seemingly only of attacking on sight. There isn’t a massive variety of Enders in the game, though all of them fights quite differently and require very different strategies to take down. Let’s check them out.

What Are Enders?

Enders are a type of alien, it can be assumed. The game describes them as xenomorphic, as though their origins are unknown, they do not seem to be reminiscent of anything native to the planet. They came with the rainfall, and never went away.

Enders are not invincible though, and easily go down to both energy weapons and more traditional live ammunition. That said, they don’t always obey the standard laws of reality.Enders can seemingly spawn out of nowherein a puff of purple smoke, and disappear just as quickly. There is just no end to them.

Further linking them to the rain, they are empowered during rainfall. They will glow with a purple aura and increase in size a small degree. Thisgives them an increase in HP, defense, and damage. They are always lethal, but a single hit from one boosted by the rain at anything below half durability is almost certainly fatal.

The quickstep you can perform with your Cradlecoffindoesn’t always seem to provide invulnerability frames, so try to keep a distance from Enders at all times.

Every Type Of Ender

There arefour main types of Endersin Synduality. A surprisingly small amount considering they are the game’s primary enemies, they at least all feel distinct from one another. Here’s each of them:

There are also Parasitic Enders, which are infected Cradlecoffins, thoughthese are battled much the same as regular Banditsand other players.

Every Ender has a core, which is their weakpoint. It is located in a different place for each of them, though it is typically located by their head. For Chasers, it isliterally their head. For Gazers, it isthe eye at their center, though they can also be struck in the tail-like appendage behind them as well. A Crawler’s core isfound inside their nestand can only be hit from above them. AnIncubator’s core is in its head, though it can only be hit from the front.

Chasers and Gazers can also appear in two subtypes -Barons and Viscounts. These are functionally identical to their base varieties, though have a green or yellow colour respectively, and have amssively boosted stats.

Material Drops From Each Ender

Materials in Synduality are mostly in pre-set locations, though theystill come in random raritiesand can prove difficult to find consistently. Each Ender has two materials they can drop, one being common and the other being rare. This makes it thankfully easy to find their materials quite consistently, though does leave it up to chance whether you’ll get them or not.

Here iseach Ender and what they drop, and the rarity of each item:

Incubator Core

Purple Rarity

Parasitic Endersdrop similar items as regular Bandits, so they have not been included in the above table.

For Chasers and Gazers, it’s actually quite common for them to drop their cores. Crawlers are a bit rarer, though still fairly frequent.Incubators are the rarest by far, which is only doubled by Incubators being the least common enemy in general. Incubator cores in particular are needed for some Requests, so try not to sell them or use them in crafting until after you’ve completed any requests requiring them.
