Balatro is love,Balatrois life. I’ve played so much of this game since its release in February that I see jonklers in my sleep. I’m arecovering Flush maindesperately trying to transfer to Pairs or High Cards or one of those ‘bad’ hands that all the top players seem to use. I’ve beaten gold stake enough times to call myself ‘kinda good’ at the game, but I’ve never hit the letters in my scores.
One aspect of Balatro I’ve never dabbled in, however, is seeds. I never got why you’d eliminate the RNG for the game, why you’d just copy someone else’s run, why you’d play through a round which doesn’t unlock anything for your collection.
However, one seed has changed my mind. This NSFW seed was shared recently among the game’sReddit communityand I decided to give it a go. In doing so, I opened up my mind tothe infinite possibilities of Balatro.
Balatro’s Best Seed
The seed itself is PENIS. Yes, you read that right. Seeds are a random assortment of letters and numbers, and the player who discovered this broken seed was clearly just trying to have a laugh with things. It was only after playing through it a bit that they realised how good this run could be.
If you decide to play with the penis seed (sorry), you’ll want to skip the first two rounds of Ante 1. Use flushes to beat the first boss, and net yourself a clean $50. Buy the first Joker Pack in Ante 2, et voila. Blueprint,one of the best Jokers in the game. I usually grab the Ice Cream Joker at this point, just to get 200 bonus chips each hand for the time being.
However, things keep getting better from here. The next step is a little bit complicated, so read very carefully.
Making The Most Of Balatro’s Seed
In Ante 4, you can get your hands on a legendary Joker. However, you have to buy Hieroglyph when you see it, which takes youbackan ante. The new Ante 4 will contain a legendary joker in one of the Arcana Packs. I found Canio, but others are reporting slight differences in the RNG.
In the next ante, Ante 5, there’s another Blueprint to copy that Canio again. I’m still trying to find a Ride The Bus somewhere in here to really seal the deal, but I’m certain that Balatro’s penis seed is one of the best in the whole game.
I haven’t taken this seed to endless yet, but apparently another legendary Joker shows its face just after Ante 8.
It amazes me that, of all the seeds that could possibly exist, this random selection of letters that have coalesced into an extremely NSFW word could be one of the most potent Balatro runs ever curated. It makes me wonder if itwascurated. I wouldn’t put it beyond LocalThunk to have purposefully coded the penis seed to be incredibly powerful. That it has taken ten months for players to even try putting funny words into the seed box is even more surprising, however.
Now we’ll just have to work out which rude word has the best potential as a Balatro seed. Others have already tried using this seed in other games, like Minecraft, to see what spawns, and it’s only a matter of time before the legendary Jokers start popping up in knobs or todge. I’ve beaten Ante 8 with a brutal High Card run using a far worse word that Mr. Google will shout at me very hard if I print here. Work it out for yourselves.
