Fans of The Witcher have been clamouring for just about any kind of content. The Witcher 4, despite opening play tests, is still a while away, season four ofNetflix’s The Witcher has lost Henry Cavill, and there hasn’t been a new book by Andrzej Sapkowski for almost 11 years. However, it seems that last part is about to change.

Sapkowski has revealed a new book in The Witcher series, titled Rozdroże Kruków, which according toRedenian Intelligence(viaGamesRadar), can be translated intoRaven’s Crossing/Crossroads or Crow’s Crossing/Crossroads or Crossing of the Ravens/Crows. The English edition will reveal the final translation, but Crow’s Crossing sounds the best according to us.

New Book In The Witcher Series Focuses On A Young Geralt

“This time the grandmaster of Polish fantasy is going back to Geralt’s teenage years, who is only taking his first steps in the Witcher craft and has to face numerous challenges,” says a writeup about the book. “Armed with two runic swords, he fights monsters, saves innocent virgins and helps unhappy lovers.

“Always and everywhere he tries to obey the unwritten code he got from his teachers and mentors. As usual, life spares no disappointments – youthful idealism clashes with reality from time to time. The saga continues. The story never ends…”

The cover for the book has also been revealed in Nowa Fantastyka magazine, featuring a younger looking Geralt fighting a shadowy monster perched upon a tombstone.

As for The Witcher 4, it seems thatGeralt will play a part in the plot, but not a major one. While we haven’t seen anything else about the game, CD Projekt Red has revealed that it has made"substantial progress” on the game. Considering that the studio is working on four different games at the same time, it’s going to take some time. There’s also the whole debacle with the original launch of Cyberpunk 2077 to consider.

We’ve never really seen a young version of Geralt. He’s usually always portrayed as a grumpy and grunty middle-aged man. Maybe the teenage version of him will be a little more joyful and expressive.
