However, at the lower end of the spectrum, a new Weezing card joins the fray, as collectors turn their attention toward Team Rocket-themed Pokemon due to their appearance in 2025’s Destined Rivals set.
6Weezing: Team Rocket Returns (Uncommon) – $2.01
A Classic Rocket Pokemon
Team Rocket Returns and some of the set’s best cardshave been on the radar for savvy collectors since 2024, as 2025’s Destined Rivals set was long predicted to contain Team Rocket-themed cards. Along with that set’s hype, Weezing began to move up the price charts, thanks to the renewed interest in Rocket’s cards.
While this Weezing once sat around the 60-cent range, it experienced a huge spike that saw it multiply its value by over threefold. At Weezing’s current market price, it’s still a relatively affordable option, though there’s no telling how long that might last.
5Weezing: Fossil First Edition (Uncommon) – $2.54
A Humble Start
Fossil is best known for its chase cards like Dragonite, but Weezing also appears in this storied set, standing out as one of the better Uncommon cards. As a set that comes in first edition and unlimited print runs, the former boasts a higher value for this Weezing card.
Moderately played(MP)first edition copies start around 68 cents, while the price for lightly played(LP)copies range from $1.25 to just over $1.50. At the high end of the spectrum, you can expect to shell out closer to $2.20 for a near-mint(NM)copy, though some (potentially mislabeled) NM copies failed to break the one-dollar mark.
4Koga’s Weezing: Gym Challenge First Edition (Uncommon) – $2.98
The Calm Before The Storm
While Koga’s Weezing is a long way off fromthe most valuable cards in Gym Challenge,this combination of trainer and Pokemon is incredibly appropriate, but unfortunately not incredibly popular. Popularity aside, there’s no doubt that the first edition version commands a much higher value than the unlimited version.
NM copies set the ceiling at around $3.24, with LP copies falling by about a dollar to the two-dollar mark, with some sinking to $1.62. However, MP copies stay surprisingly close to the bottom end of an LP’s range, giving an unexpectedly small discount between conditions – you might as well go for an NM copy at these prices.
3Galarian Weezing: Shining Fates (Shiny Holo Rare) – $3.04
The Lone Modern Weezing
Galarian Weezing makes an appearance as the sole modern entry among the most valuable Weezing cards. Shining Fates celebrates shiny Pokemon in all their glory, and this Pokemon gets some unexpected love in the set as one of the affectionately dubbed ‘baby shinies’.
However, despite a decent showing among its peers, this card’s price chart showed a distinct downward trend, taking it from the three-dollar mark to its current price. While the drop isn’t significant in a vacuum, a card at this price point losing 60 cents in value still representsa roughly 20 percent decline.However, this card is new hovering more solidly around the market price.
2Dark Weezing: Team Rocket First Edition (Holo Rare) – $35.10
Ballooning In Price
Dark Weezing takes a giant leap above the other Weezing cards thus far, as this gem from Team Rocket exceeds the prior entry by over $20. While many ofthe most valuable cards from Team Rocketboast impressive value, this card is equally impressive due to the massive deviation from Weezing’s standard costs.
As per usual, the first edition version towers over the unlimited, as even damaged first edition copies sell for more than NM unlimited copies.NM first edition copiesof this cardcan reach heights of $50,with a massive drop to $16 for LP, followed by MP copies ranging from nine dollars to $16.
1Weezing: Expedition (Holo Rare) – $65.24
The Top Weezing
The Weezing from Expedition claims the throne as the best Weezing card of all time, boasting one of the most unusual depictions of this Pokemon that we’ve ever seen. While most other depictions thus far feature softer, anime-esque designs, this hyperrealistic look at Weezing makes us terrified of the thought of this Pokemon coming to life.
Whilethe best cards in Expeditionfeature a blend of holo and reverse holo cards, the clear winner here is the Weezing holo version, sitting at over double the cost of the reverse in NM conditions. At the top end of the holo spectrum, NM cards sell for as much as $69.99, with LP cards clocking in at around $36, followed by heavily played(HP)copies commanding around $20.
