Summary
Star Wars: Unlimitedreturns to one of the best eras of the franchise in the Twilight of the Republic set. This takes players to the age of the Clone Wars, where a sinister plot is unfolding in the background and some of the most iconic characters are in their prime.
It is to be expected that some of the more popular characters from the Clone Wars era are fetching a high price due to their iconic presence. Meanwhile, other cards are just so good, players want to use the highest rarity possible in their decks so they can show off during a match.
Card values are based on the prices seen onTCG Player.comand may be subject to change over time.
An Aggressive Leader
Mace Windu is here to verify the terror of the Sith never returns. As a Leader, Mace Windu gives you the option to deal multiple damage to your opponent’s Units to make them easier to defeat.
This is fantastic if you want to combo off other cards that work better on damaged Units. Even Mace Windu is able to deal additional damage on Units with five damage on them already. On deployment, Mace Windu will damage all of your opponent’s damaged Units, which could result in a board wipe at the right moment.
9Jango Fett, Concealing The Conspiracy (Showcase) - $252.74
A Controlling Leader
Jango Fett is one ofthe coolest bounty hunters in the Star Wars universe. In Star Wars Unlimited, this Leader is capable of locking down your opponent’s Units if they take damage. This will shut down any abilities that require your opponent to exhaust them first.
When this leader is deployed, it has seven health, allowing Jango to personally make use of its Exhausting ability. This also applies automatically each time one of your other friendly Units deals damage, making it an excellent way to keep your opponent under your control.
8Asajj Ventress, Unparalleled Adversary (Showcase) - $289.98
Getting The Jump On Your Opponent
If you’re looking for a leader that can not only power up your Units, but also strike first when deployed, then Asajj Ventress is a Leader worth using. You can give your Units one extra Power and force them to attack.
However, one of the best abilities is only usable when you deploy Asajj Ventress. When you play an event during the Phase, Asajj gets a power boost and can deal damage before the defending Unit. This means that rather than the calculations happening at the same time, Asajj has the chance to defeat a Unit before it can do its own damage.
7Nala Se, Clone Engineer (Showcase) - $315.56
Calling All Clones
Your Leader and your Base card determine what aspects you can use in your deck. However, this is Star Wars Unlimited, which means there is no problem with using cards outside your aspect as long as you pay the extra resources as an aspect penalty.
Nala Se removes this penalty on all the Clone cards you play that don’t align with your Base or Leader. This makes Nala Se an excellent Leader to chooseif you want to build a grand army of Clones. While it may not do much damage, Nala Se allows you to heal two damage from your Base each time one of your Clones is defeated.
6Chancellor Palpatine, Playing Both Sides (Showcase) - $328.24
Palpatine Strikes Back
Chancellor Palpatine is one of the most unique Leader cards in Star Wars Unlimited. This is because it constantly switches between Heroism and Villainy. This card’s value goes even further because of the two distinct card arts.
One side of the card has Palpatine overlooking Coruscant from his office as the Heroism side. Meanwhile, the other side features Darth Sidious. This card will heal and deal damage to both bases but cannot deploy as a Unit. So this card constantly flip-flops between sides likea true villain.
5Quinlan Vos, Sticking The Landing (Showcase) - $337.99
Playing Cards And Dealing Damage
The more Units you play, the more you can take advantage of Quinland Vos’s abilities. Each time you play a Unit, you can exhaust this card to deal some damage to an equally or lower cost Unit on your opponent’s side of the field.
This card goes hard when it gets deployed, since it no longer needs to exhaust itself to deal damage. Thanks to the wording, you can repeatedly spam this effect each time you play a Unit and you have Quinland Vos deployed.
4Maul, A Rival in Darkness (Showcase) - $349.00
Overwhelm Your Opponent With Power
Maul is one of the greatest highlights of the Clone Wars series, as well as his final arc in Star Wars: Rebels. Twilight of the Republic contains a Showcase rarity Maul Leader, which is a great find whether you play the game or not.
If you do play the game though, this card can easily let you overwhelm your opponent by giving your Units the Overwhelm Keyword. This gets even more potent when Maul is deployed and every one of your friendly Units gets the buff.
3General Grievous, General of the Droid Armies (Showcase) - $391.20
Another Showcase Card To Add To Your Collection
General Grievous knows that the droids are all expendable Units in his army. This is why, as a Leader, he uses droids as shields for your Base and as a way to force your opponent into attacking them.
General Grievous does this as a Leader by giving one of your droid Units Sentinel for a turn. This means your opponent must attack them first before trying to go for your Base. While deployed and attacking, you’re able to not only give a droid Sentinel, but give it a plus one in power to make it more of a risk to attack.
2Anakin Skywalker, What It Takes To Win (Showcase) - $409.09
Take Damage To Get Stronger
Darth Vader is pretty cool, but if you’re a fan of the Clone Wars, you’ve been waiting to see Anakin in his prime. The showcase printing of Anakin Skywalker’s Leader card is everything you could ask for, it even allows you to tap into your anger for some hard hits.
As a Leader, Anakin does damage to your own Base to power up your Units. This lets you make more aggressive plays to demolish your opponent. As a Leader Unit, Anakin has Overwhelm and gains one power for every five damage to your base.
1Yoda, Sensing Darkness (Showcase) - $411.33
Sensing The Perfect Time To Strike
Yoda is iconic for having appeared in every single era of the Star Wars franchise. So, of course, having a showcase card that depicts him during the Clone Wars era is bound to attract plenty of attention.
This Yoda is a great Leader that can heal your Base by two when deployed and allows you to sculpt your hand with additional draws and shuffling cards back into the deck. When this card is deployed, you can discard a card from your deck and immediately defeat a non-leader Unit that costs the same or less. This is excellent removal in a tight situation.
