But that’s no reason for Survivors not to look their best. The Dead by Daylight survivors are some of the most fashionable characters around.
All Survivors have at least one alternative look, and many have multiple to choose from. They range from formal to fun, cyberpunk to gothic, with each Survivor having their unique style. But which are the best? Which outfits make the Entity’s Best Dressed List? These are the best Survivor cosmetics, ranked.

1200 Auric Cells 21600 Shards
Adam Francis is a bit of an underrated survivor. Introduced alongside fan-favorite Killer Spirit, Adam Francis needs some love. That makes the arrival of the Herald of the Gods outfit all the sweeter. It’s simple and low-key while still being fashionable, perfect for this understatedly cool teacher.
Herald of the Gods came from the Greek Mythology collection, and there are nods to the god Hermes throughout it. Adam wears the charm of Hermes around his neck, and the gold pattern on his jacket invokes Greek pottery. Who knows? Maybe the charm of Hermes will bring you luck in your next trial. Unlikely, but a Survivor can dream.
Meg Thomas is a Survivor known for her athleticism, specifically her running. A former track star turned Survivor, Meg’s perks will have you zipping through trials as you rush past Killers. It was only a matter of time before the queen of speed got an 80s aesthetic outfit.
The Neon Fanatic outfit will make you feel like you’re jazzercising your way off of hooks when you wear it. Decorated in pinks, blues, and purples, Meg’s jacket is a loud and proud homage to the decade. Add a headband to hold back her hair and a walkman for some sick tunes, and Meg’s ready to run.
Few survivors are as as coolas Yui Kimura. In the trailer announcing her introduction to the game, she literally movestowardsthe Killer to show she isn’t afraid. This racer from Japan isn’t afraid of anything, and the Wild Card set shows it.
Yui’s cosmetics tend to be bold, and the Wild Card is the boldest of them all. This set comprises a torn punk vest, a worn tank top, and battered jeans and boots; add in a bandana to shield her face from trouble, and Yui’s ready to go. While Survivors can’t fight back against the Killer (at least not in a typical way), this outfit will make any Yui player feel like they could fistfight the Entity itself.
Jeff is one of those guys who looks a bit scary. He’s a very tall and very wide Survivor who even sounds intimidating when he runs. But underneath that scary exterior lies a sweetheart- even when he’s wearing the Black Metal outfit.
This set is for those who want to dig into their Norwegian Black Metal collection and rock out while working on some generators. This outfit is black leather on black leather on black leather, with some corpse paint to top it all off. Jeff has always been a metal fan in lore, and this outfit gives him a chance to represent his favorite genre even when doing trials. What a legend. Rock on, Jeff.
Feng Min has some of the cutest cosmetics in the game- and the Happy-Go-Lucky set is probably the cutest of them all. ‘Bunny Feng’ is a known character archetype in the community for a reason. This comfy set is perfect for kicking back and relaxing while doing some generators.
The best thing about this set is that the bunny ears on Feng Min’s hoodie have jiggle physics. That doesn’t sound very impressive on paper, but it is hilarious to watch the bunny ears flop around as you’re being chased by a Killer or strung up on a hook. This set is so out of place in the setting- and that’s what makes it wonderful.
This set is great on several levels. It’s a comfy set while also being fashionable. It seems like no matter what Yun-Jin Lee does, she does it with style. Her pajamas are luxurious, with gold embroidery making the blue of her shirt pop. It’s wonderful to wear and wonderful to look at.
What’s also great about this set is the lore it reveals. In the description for this outfit, it says that Yun-Jin is only wearing this to do a photoshoot- for her fans; they asked, and she delivered. That’s adorable, especially when you consider that Yun-Jin Lee is notorious for being a stone-cold record producer. Aww, she does have a heart.
21600 Shards
The Afropunk set was designed by a community member, Selena Fay, and it is an amazing set to look at. The amount of details involved, from Élodie’s necklace with protective swords to the recurring snake motif, makes this outfit truly a treasure.
This set costs 21,600 Shards and can only be purchased in that currency. Shards can take a while to save up, so it’s best to keep grinding at the game as the Shards generate over time. But once players have enough, this set is all theirs. Élodie’s Afropunk set is worth the effort. It’s golden, dramatic, and oh-so punk.
Maybe it’s cheating to put another Feng Min outfit on this list. Feng Min gets a lot of cosmetics. In a way, she’s sort of Dead By Daylight’s Resident Fashionista. But the Spring Festival dress is worth discussing purely because of how lovely it is.
The Spring Festival outfit consists of a beautiful red qipao, a dress that is traditionally worn for Chinese New Year. It is a vibrant, rich red, which maybe isn’t the greatest for stealth but it is great to look at. And isn’t that, like, half the reason for choosing an outfit? This outfit celebrates Feng Min’s heritage and allows the cosmetics team to show their skill in design.
As one of the resident goths in Dead By Daylight, Sable Ward was always going to have some cool cosmetics. But this set isn’t cool- oh no. It’s blazing hot. Sable Ward’s Halloween Outfit is a reminder that even in the Entity’s realm, she’s still the queen of Halloween.
Sable’s outfit burns bright. The top is made up of spider webs and a torn tank top, the true uniform of the goths. But the burning pattern on her pants, which literally glows when she moves, is the outfit’s show-stopper. Add in her glowing hair and witch’s hat, and you have an outfit worthy of trick or treating. Happy Halloween…
1200 Auric Cells
Delving too far into the Void can have consequences. Dire consequences. Fashionable consequences. A handful of Survivors discovered these consequences in 2024’s Halloween Event, Haunted by Daylight. Haddie Kaur was one of them, and her cosmetic set is among the best in the series.
Haddie’s hair hovers hauntingly around her face in this set, lending her an otherworldly effect that even the other Void sets don’t have. Strange blue light has altered her body, with shards jutting out from her body while her eyes glow. All of this, plus the damage to her regular outfit, shows that Haddie has been changed by what she’s done. She is now part of the Entity’s realm just as muchas the Killers.Nobody truly escapes in Dead By Daylight, and this set proves it.
