The only time you’d build Break Effect on a character is when you want to trigger a big DoT on the enemies with them, which fell out of meta fairly quickly.
Because of this, it’s surprising to believe that this is now one of the strongest playstyles in the game, further buffed with Fugue’s release. Fugue is a five-star Fire Nihility character, and she’s quite easy to understand and use.
Best Fugue Relics And Planar Ornaments
When it comes to Fugue’s relics, much like other Break-based characters,she doesn’t have a lot of flexibility. There are a few specific choices that you’d want to go for:
Relics
Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge
If you’re playing Fugue in her best team, you’ll likely have over 250 percent Break Effect quite easily. This set allows you toignore 25 percent of the enemy’s DEF for Super Break DMGwhen that happens.
Thief of Shooting Meteor
On the other hand, if you’re using her in an F2P team or would like to get her Ultimate back faster, you can use this set as you’d get aton of energy from it with her constant Weakness Break.

Unlike her relics, Fugue has a decent bit of choices when it comes to her light cones. However, you’ll get a significantlyhigher value from her signature than any other one, as you’d expect:
Long Road Leads Home
Fugue’s signature light cone massively boosts her Break Effect while also increasing theBreak DMG taken by the enemy when they’re Weakness Broken. This happens a lot with her in team, making it the perfect choice.
Those Many Springs
This light cone gives you a ton of Effect Hit Rate, which makes it useful to get her DEF reduction applied regularly. Moreover, it makes the opponents take increased damage when they’re applied by DoT.
Breaking an enemy’s weakness with aFire attack applies this DoT on them, allowing you to benefit from this light cone’s passive.
Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat
Since you’ll already have some EHR on Fugue, this cone is agreat four-star choice for its DEF reduction, which stacks with her skill.
Before the Tutorial Mission Starts
If you have this F2P-friendly light cone, you can use it to get a ton of extra energy on Fugue sinceshe’ll consistently be attacking Def-reduced enemies.

Best Fugue Team Compositions
Even though there’s a decent bit of Break-based characters in the game now, it’s still quiteeasy to guess what teams she’ll fit in. These teams are as follows:
Fugue Main Team
This is your run-of-the-mill Break-Based team withone main DPS and everyone else acting as a sub-DPS. Even after all this time,Firefly serves as the best candidatefor this team as she not only shares Weakness with Fugue, but also destroys the enemy’s weakness a lot faster, letting her deal more damage.
Firefly can also apply the Fire weakness on the enemy,allowing both Lingsha and Fugue to remove their shield properly. Ruan Mei is a better choice for the second support in this team since she can also enhance the team’s Weakness Break Efficiency, allowing you to break the targets much more easily.
Lingsha is undoubtedly the best sustainer to use here due to hermassive damage and shared combat typewith most of the team.
Fugue F2P Team
While talking about an F2P-friendly team, you’ll mostly think of using the best four-stars possible with Fugue. However, everyone has achance of getting Himekowhenever they lose a 50-50 on the limited banneror get a five-star on the standard banner, so she can qualify as an F2P-friendly character if you get a bit lucky.
She’s also one of the best units to pair with Fugue since theconstant weakness breaks give her a ton of stacks for the passive. You can also combine this with Herta in game modes like Pure Fiction, but Pela will serve as a great support for any other scenario due to her DEF reduction.
Of course, Gallagher will be your best sustainer here since he has Break-based abilities in his kit.
Fugue Traces Overview And Priority

If you’re planning to upgrade Fugue’s traces, you should start with herTalent followed by the Skill and then the Ultimate. Her Basic Attack is also important to upgrade, but you can leave that for the last while also unlocking all her bonus traces and other nodes whenever possible.
