Summary
Seeing a Jungler play inSmite 2might seem like witnessing complete and utter chaos, but in reality, a good Jungler is an extremely thought-out and well-oiled machine. It can be an extremely difficult role to pull off, and it requires a character that you’re deeply familiar with to do correctly.
In general,Junglersneed to be able to move quickly, using hit-and-run and ambush tactics to get in and out of danger quickly. They need to have a good sense of the game flow, understanding when they need to be where, and be self-sufficient enough that they don’t require help to do their job.
7Aladdin
The Sultan
Aladdin has some extremely unique mechanics going for him, mostly revolving around the Genie. Aladdin’s Genie will grant him three wishes in a match, to be redeemed any time he sees it necessary. These wishes can fulfill many different needs, like giving Aladdin extra gold, allowing him to revive himself, or making him more formidable in a fight.
Aside from that, Aladdin is one of the most agile Gods in the game, with multiple abilities that allow him to dash, one of which even allows him to run along a wall. He can create a 1v1 situation against another God, allowing him to win inescapable conflicts against enemies he’s confident in fighting.
6Loki
The Trickster God
Loki has one very specific strength, and that’s ambushing enemies who are not prepared for it. Loki even deals bonus damage when attacking from behind, allowing him to get a big attack off, removing a huge chunk of the enemy’s health, before they can possibly react to it.
Loki is also capable of stealth, making traversal through the Jungle and into lanes less of a hassle than it might be otherwise. He can debuff enemies in a variety of ways, from blinding to stunning to crippling, and he can easily apply a damage-over-time effect to enemies, weakening throughout the fight.
5Mordred
The Breaker Of The Round Table
Mordred is another character capable of quite a bit of movement. He can dash after using an ability or after attacking, making him capable of dashing much more often than mostother Gods. This keeps him able to position himself advantageously, and out of situations where enemies can box him in.
Mordred is also capable of healing himself fairly easily with his Cruel Strikes ability. He can increase his attack and movement speed, making him entirely inescapable for most Gods, particularly because his Severing Slice ability allows him to slow them.
4Nemesis
The Goddess Of Vengeance
Nemesis is the easiest God to debuff other enemies with; instead of that debuff being some kind of stun or slowing effect, she can lower her an enemy’s God’s Power, Strength, and Intelligence, all while raising her own. She can do this just by attacking enemies, ensuring she can spend her time focusing on her other abilities.
Nemesis also has a God Aspect called Aspect of Justice, which allows her to average her own and an enemy God’s health with her Divine Judgment ultimate ability. This can be wildly useful, particularly when Nemesis is on the ropes, and an enemy is particularly healthy. They might overextend since you’re weak, and you can punish them for it.
3Thor
The God Of Thunder
Thor is definitely a berserker-style Jungler, gaining more Strength for having enemies nearby, up to a maximum of 30 bonus Strength. Thor also has one of the better movement-abilities in the game, able to throw his hammer, Mjolnir, and teleport to it with an ability.
This can help Thor keep the pressure on an enemy, or enable him to dive out of a fight that’s going poorly. Thor’s other massive strength is his ability to deal heavy Physical damage while also stunning enemies consistently. Considering Thor is often going to want to fight multiple enemies at the same time, the ability to stun them is going to extend his life significantly.
2Thanatos
The Hand Of Death
Thanatos works in a very different way thanother Gods, spending a percentage of his own health to cast abilities, instead of mana. This can get him into trouble with a player unfamiliar with playing as Thanatos, but when considering what his abilities do, this can make him extremely powerful in the right hands.
Killing enemies heals Thanatos, as well as restoring all of his ability cooldowns. His Death Scythe ability also heals him a considerable amount, along with dealing good damage. Toggling on his Aspect of Reaping disables the healing from his passive, but instead grants him extra maximum health. Later on in the match, a good Thanatos with this Aspect active can be a frightening thing.
1Pele
The Goddess Of Volcanoes
Pele has some of the most consistent Lifesteal potential of any God in the game, gaining 30 percent Lifesteal and extra Strength for six seconds any time she dips under 50 percent health.
Pele can also charge up one of her abilities, Magma Rush, by building up fuel using her other abilities, like Pyroclast and Eruption. Magma Rush itself doesn’t have a cooldown, and instead uses that fuel to function.
