With new elements dropping frequently, Elemental Dungeons onRobloxhas accumulated many different play styles and ability combos. With so many to pick from, it boils down to which ones you enjoy playing the most and which can provide you with the best and most consistent damage output.
That said, the Mastery system in Elemental Dungeons makes picking an element quite a commitment, so we’ve compiled a tier list, sorting all the elements from worst to best in a few categories. Let’s explain how this tier list was formed without further ado.
How Our Ranking Was Determined
We have sorted these ranks by the following factors:
We will be looking atthe raw elements themselvesonly, as each element can be mastered to deal more damage. Corrupted elements' variants deal twice the damage the regular element does, so they will not be considered, butlimited-time elementswill be.
Awakened element abilities willalso be accounted for, as well as any passives the elements can gain.
The orderin which the elements are listed within a tieris important, as the first element listed isthe strongest within that tier. Each subsequent one is of similar strength, though weaker in some aspects than the one before it.
S Tier
For the best elements in the game, S-Tier elements have the hardest-hitting abilities and can be used in any situation.
A Tier
This tier is forgreat choices that can compete with S-Tier elements, though they are more situational.
B Tier
Good choices that can work if mastered, but shouldn’t be focused on as much go in B-Tier.
C Tier
Elements in this tier shouldonly be used if you’re upgrading from D-Tierones.
D Tier
Beginner elementsthat only really work for the first few dungeons occupy this tier.
S-Tier Elements
As you may have guessed, this tier consists of mostly Mythicalsas they have a bigger and more impressive move-set. These can carry youthroughout the whole gameand are the peak of Elemental Dungeons’s power scaling.
Some requirea very specific buildto do well, but if the requirements are met, you’re able to expect these todominate over any other element below.
Solar
Mythic / Limited
The most consistent damage across the board, with Reaper very closely behind it. It works with most builds, isn’t difficult to pick up and learn, and has mobility that other elements lack. All of these factors put it comfortablyat the top of S-Tier.
Reaper
Mythic
Arguablythe highest damage in the game, Reaper requires a very specific build to clean dungeons. We recommend this forvery high-level players, as the awakened move-set puts it over the edge of other elements, butit does lack mobility.
Kitsune
The best Mythical element forlower-level players, Kitsune will carry you through most of the game easily. It’s easy to use, has mobility, and is one ofthe strongest M1 attacksin the game.
Phantom
Unique move-set, with high damage. This element is best suited for players with high-tier weapons, as its abilities consider weapon damage.
Galaxy
The best AoE and mobility in the game, with good damage. Others in this tier out-damage this element for bosses, but otherwiseit’s a great choice for new and experienced players alike.
Dragon
Legendary
With an awakened move-set, this abilityout-damages even Mythical elementsbelow it. As far as Legendary elements go, it is the best, and it deserves a spot in the S-Tier.
A-Tier Elements
Very good choices, which are all almostas impressive as the S-tier elements can be. These elements are not to be looked down upon, as they can stillclear most dungeons with ease.
Angel
With its healing abilities,Angel is almost mandatory in difficult Raid boss missions. Its damage is impressive for a healer class, making it viable even for solo players, and its awakened move-set lets you experiment with hybrid builds as well, as itscales with sword damage too.
Infinity
Infinity hasdamage deserving of its Mythical rarity, but its move-set leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn’t have mobility, so you’ll be relying on its AoE attacks to protect you from harm. Being a Mythical, it earns its spot in the A-Tier by default.
Krampus
Much like Infinity, Krampus falls short when compared withothers of the same Rarity. Still, among the highest damage-dealing elements in the game, it sits comfortably right behind Infinity.
Darkness
High damage, but sadlyno mobility or utility. It relies on high damage, but hard-to-hit, abilities, making itdifficult to learn and master. If you can manage it, however, expect this element not to disappoint you in dungeons.
Bunny
Exclusive
One of the few Exclusive elements in the game, its damage doesn’t disappoint. Buffs have brought itup to par with Legendaries, so we consider it to sit comfortably in the A-tier, if barely.
B-Tier Elements
In Elemental Dungeons, there is a very clear divide between theamazing elementsand thebeginner elements, with very few elements that fit into a category between the two. This tier focuses mostly on weird entries that arehard to place anywhere else, as they aren’t necessarily bad choices, but otherwise have little to offer unless you like their play-styles.
Lava
Decent damage, but justnot up to snuff for the rarity. It’s generally easy and fun to use, but when looking at what other Legendaries can do, maybewait for the banner to turn its eye to them instead.
Gravity
Strangelyunderpowered abilitiesfor the rarity, with frequent cases of them missing entirely, without it ever really feeling like it was your fault. For such a cool class, it’s disappointing to see it this low on the list, but sadly, its damage just can’t let it go any higher.
Light
Epic
Peeking its head it to B-Tier, this element dealsgreat amounts of damagewith abilities that havevery short cooldowns. For the Epic element that it is, Light is thebest of that rarity.
C-Tier Elements
Elements in this tier should only be focused onwhen you’ve warmed up to the game a bit, and are ready to move on from your beginner element. If you can afford to, we suggest moving on to something higher on the list.
Lightning
Decent damage, decent mobility, and decent AoE.It’s a good all-rounder element, so if you see it on the banner, it’s not a bad choice to try getting it.
Ice
Ice focuses onAoE and hard-hitting single attacks. It doesn’t have mobility, but, from what it does offer, you can make it pretty far with this element.
Smoke
Very long-ranged attacksmake this element unique for what it does. Out of the Epic elements, its damage is rather disappointing, butan upgrade over any Rare element.
Nature
Rare
The best Rare element, and one that competes heavily with Epic elements. Mastery on this isn’t recommended, as that time isbetter spent on Legendary or rarer elements, but it may be tempting as this element can make you breeze through the first few areas.
D-Tier Elements
Most elements in this tier meld together, as they’re meantfor beginners only. The higher it is on the list, the better, but unless you’ve got Air, there’sno real reason to change between themunless you’d like to experiment with their move-sets.
Fire
Closely behind Nature, it’s one of the best picks as far as the Rare elements go.AoE with high damage for the rarity, you may’t go wrong using Fire.
Earth
A decent pick in the category, though you’ll quickly findits limitations in combatas it just doesn’t deal very high damage for the cooldowns the abilities have.
Water
High AoE, but low damage. It’s not a bad element, but do switch from it when you’re able to.Ancient Tomb is weak to Water, so keep it until you’re out of there.
Sand
Ancient Tomb has the element of Sand as its theme, and so this elementfalls behind in counterplay. It mostly focuses on single targets, but its damage doesn’t compensate for it.
Air
The worst element in the game;it does have mobility, but nothing else of substance to offer. This is the only elementwe’d recommend you changeif you have the funds for it.
Fool’s Phantom
Being a joke element for April Fools, its abilities arenot meant for combat. That being said, having a photorealistic hand follow you around scores it some style points.
