The top end of players in the Winter Wildcard promo still cost an incredible amount of coins, but several of the best options are still attainable if you’re a diligent coin saver. The best Winter Wildcards players feature a blend of Icons and modern-day stars, as we look at the best cards available from this holiday release.
Four Stars
Xavi started the Winter Wildcards promo on the right foot, as a 25-match loan version was made available via objectives. Though there are more Winter Wildcard players available now that could rival Xavi, it’s hard to argue against a midfielder with arguably two ofthe top five PlayStyles in EA FC 25.
If you play a quick passing game and need a midfielder who can orchestrate your offense with accurate passes, few will get the job done as effortlessly as Xavi. Xavi is an elusive dribbler who can escape and buy an extra moment to find the pass.
Erling Haaland steps into the fray asone of the best PL players in Ultimate Teamand finds success at both ends of the pitch thanks to his complementary pairing of Winter Wildcards options.
Certain Winter Wildcards players have two promo cards with different positions and PlayStyles, like Erling Haaland.
Both versions of Haaland are strong and adept at keeping possession and making life difficult for your opposition. Given how different the cards are, it’s hard to pick one, so the choice is yours depending on your team’s needs. If you have to choose, theCB option might be better in the long term,as there are plenty of attacking options in FC 25.
Unlike Erling Haaland, Frenkie De Jong’s set of two Winter Wildcards has a superior choice: theCM version with Tiki Taka and Incisive Pass Plus.Like Xavi, FDJ offers another midfield option with two of the most important PlayStyles in the game, with 99 Passing to boot.
While the 99 Passing might be less important than the PlayStyles, FDJ is going to be one of the best midfielders in the game for the foreseeable future, and doubly so if you’re running a Barcelona or La Liga team.

Caroline Graham Hansen is easily one ofthe most electric Liga F players in the game– her abilities on the pitch are simply sublime. Although you could make an argument that her PlayStyles are far from ideal, Hansen is one of those players who outperforms her numerical attributes.
While there’s no denying she can be difficult to fit into your team if you’re missing Icon chemistry or fellow Barcelona teammates, it’s worth adjusting your lineup to get Hansen on full chem. Once you try her out as an RW or RM,you’ll struggle to find another player who replicates her abilities.
Three Stars
Carlos Alberto is suffering from success; he boasts two versions that can each slot into almost any team in the game thanks to his versatility and impressive combination of PlayStyles and attributes. However, the version withCDM is slightly better,given the extra positional versatility and access to bothLong Ball Pass and Anticipate Plus.
you’re able to’t go wrong with either version of this fantastic Icon, especially if you’re planning to use him at CB, as either version will suffice, and you’ll be splitting hairs to find a difference.
Vini Jr. isone of the best players in La Liga,regardless of which Winter Wildcards version you’d consider the superior option. However, theST card’s access to Finesse Shot Plus and Trivela Plusmakes it a clear choice for pure goal-scoring ability.
It’s hard to call either version an “inferior option,” as at the end of the day, you’ll still have one of the fastest, most lethal scorers on your team, regardless of which version you get your hands on. If you pack or buy Vini Jr, you’ve already won EA FC 25.
Speaking of winning FC 25, Ronaldo Nazario is the ultimate goal for many who save their coins in hopes of sniping a player good enough to be extinct, even at 15,000,000 coins. In Ronaldo’s case, both versions are great, but the 95-rated version is undoubtedly the crown jewel of any meta team.
Trickster and Quick Step Plus might not be the most important PlayStyles to have, but when it comes to on-the-field performance and general aura, few players can impact the game as significantly as Ronaldo Nazario. Sadly, it feels difficult to get excited about this card given how difficult it is to acquire.
