Summary

In case you missed it, a guest character is rounding outTekken 8’s Year 1 character pass. No, it’s not Young Sheldon. And no, it isn’t Kiryu. It isn’t Tifa, either.

As revealed during Thursday night’sThe Game Awardspresentation, the final member of the pass will be none other than Clive Rosefield of Final Fantasy 16.When Clive joins the game beginning December 16, he’ll be the second Final Fantasy character to join the King of Iron Fist Tournament, alongside Noctis in Tekken 7.

Memes and hopes aside,Clive is a pretty worthwhile entry, even if it has fans pretty mixed. That said, if there’s one thing that stands out about Clive, it’s the fact that he may be killing his opponents with his Rage Art.

Ifrit Has No Chill

As discovered by a Twitter user, Clive’s Rage Arts revolves around summoning IIrit to literally set his opponents on fire. Rage Art would be an understatement. This is a Fury Art.

IIrit does the job, and whoever the opponent is, in this case it’s Jin, is left as basically a pile of ashes. This has led fans to believe that Clive is the first person to literally kill a combatant.

But What About Bryan?

While Clive may technically leave his opponents in ashes, leaving no sign of life, it’s important to remember that Bryan Fury has literally beaten people into a pulp.

Heck, there’s even a whole compilation of the dude doing it. While punches and fire are two different things, these are some serious wallops.

Oh,and as one Tekken fan noted, Dragunov has been known to snap necks. That’s equally deadly. The more and more we dive in, the more and more it seems like all Tekken characters are flirting with death. They’re just not as overt or flashy as Clive is.
