The Switch 2 Might Be Revealed This Thursday
Multiple insiders agree that we’re days away from the Switch 2 reveal, not weeks
“I have been told that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be revealed on Thursday, January 16,” says Nate the Hate in a new video. He then goes on to share other details that he’s heard about the reveal, and even though he admits they didn’t “make sense” to him, they have since been backed up by VGC.
“What I’ve heard is that the reveal itself is going to focus almost exclusively on the console itself. “There is not going to be any presence of games,” he says. “Software is not going to be a focus.”
VGC then refers to this as a “two-part reveal”, suggesting that the games for the Switch 2 will be showcased later. So, if there is a reveal this Thursday, don’t expect to be told about the games it will be getting.
Both Nate the Hate and VGC claim that the Switch 2 could launch in “May or June”.
On top of this, Tom Warren, senior editor at The Verge, had previously hinted that the Switch was “days away” from being revealed. He has since reaffirmed this, saying that he’s heard that it “should be” revealed this week.
The Switch 2 being revealed this week would roughly coincide withthe eighth anniversary of the original Switch’s reveal, which is today. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see if this pans out, although if other reports are to be believed, thenNintendo hasn’t made any changes to its planned reveal in response to all of the leaks and speculation.
