Summary
Stalker 2just got more than 650 fixes across two different patches. This comes after the gamelaunched last week with various bugs and performance issues, something which the developer is hoping to address withpatches 1.01and1.02.
The patches are being rolled out on bothPCandXboxnow, and the first one is the largest by far. It implements fixes across the entire game, including improvements to the AI, combat, open world, and the overall performance.
Stalker 2 Devs Roll Out Patches 1.01 And 1.02
There are obviously far too many fixes to list here, but all of the 650+ tweaks and improvements are split into these different categories:
The second patch, which is much smaller, then goes on to implement a few very specific bug fixes across six missions. This is to stop the player from getting softlocked, as some reported that bugs were blocking them from progressing through the story.
Despite many Stalker 2 players reporting bugs and performance issues at launch, it certainly doesn’t seem to have hurt its sales. It sold more than one million copies in just one day, and that’s not even taking Xbox Game Pass players into account, as it was available on the subscription service from day one.
In the replies to the patch announcements, the devssaythat they are still “working hard to update and support the game”, so we can expect more patches than this. We’ll just have to wait and see if the most pressing issues have been addressed.
