Spyro Reignited Trilogy Is Finally Coming To Xbox Game Pass

This news means that Crash and Spyro are reunited on Game Pass. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy came to Game Pass in August of this year, making Spyro’s absence even more bizarre. At least that’s going to be rectified tomorrow, bringing one of the best platformers in the business to a wider audience.

After this, we’ll still be waiting for Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, but then the Crash/Spyro revival-era remakes will all be available on Game Pass. Chuck in Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, and then we have every new release from that period too.

As for the future of the Spyro series, that’s a little unclear. Toys for Bob, the obvious choice for a new Spyro game, has split from Activision, and therefore, split from Xbox. However, shortly after becoming independent, itsigned a publishing deal with Xbox,so it will still be working with the company. This could give the team access to Xbox’s IPs, including Spyro.

All of these developmentscoincided with rumours that Spyro 4 is in development. Just to add fuel to the fire, the Toys for Bob website was updated to feature a purple tiki mask, which could reference both Crash and Spyro, although it remains to be seen what project it is currently working on.
