The original achievement list for Sonic Generations was difficult but nothing brutal. This new remaster featuring Shadow Generations raises the difficulty quite a bit, especially in regard to the new campaign on offer.
Out of all platformers,Sonic X Shadow Generationsmight be the biggest pain trying to get all the collectibles because there’s so many, and even after you get the various chest keys, you still need to find the chests themselves. Plus, you’ll need to perfect every single stage and receive no damage on both final bosses, which will push you to your absolute limits.

Delivered All Parts to Orbot and Cubot.
In the open-world hub of Shadow Generations, it’s a collectible nightmare with so many things to consider. You’re best off getting everything in the stages first, but there’s one collectible you can get with a guide straight away if you have all the powers unlocked.
Those are the rocket parts, and there’s 80 scattered across the hub area. Finding them all yourself can be quite a tasking endeavor because the hub is so big, and there’s not a lot of help in-game. You want to use a guide here, and even then, it can take you half an hour to get them all.
Description
Take no damage from the final boss and clear the stage in Shadow Generations.
Probably the hardest overall achievement in Shadow Generations is Untouchable. You must not take damage from the final boss, and while it’s not as hard as Sonic’s counterpart, it’s still brutal and will require lots of practice. The surfing bit at the beginning isn’t too bad, but the part where you’re platforming using Doom Morph can be tricky.
You really have to be careful moving forward to avoid the boss' laser beams, and you also have to watch out for the last bit because you don’t want to screw up at the very end. That can be devastating.
Take no damage from the final boss and clear the stage in Sonic Generations.
Sonic has it far worse than Shadow, as hemust deal with the Time Eater. It’s one of the hardest final bosses in the series, and, to add insult to injury, you must no damage it as well. As Super Sonic, you must catch up with the boss and ram into it, but that’s easier said than done. The issue here is the controls.
The movement just isn’t smooth and fast enough to consistently avoid the obstacles in this fight, which can lead to a lot of frustration. You can change the view with the Y/Triangle button, but that actually makes it worse and less precise. You’ll need a lot of practice, skill, and luck to finally get this achievement.

Get Rank S in all Acts in Sonic Generations.
Getting an S rank in every level in Sonic Generations isn’t as bad as it sounds. The score required isn’t super tight, and as long as you beat the level fast and don’t die, you should get an S rank with your Perfect Bonus.
That said, the later levels can prove a serious problem in the not-dying department, and you will need to practice a bit. You desperately want that no-death Perfect Bonus, as that’s the only way to achieve an S rank. Sadly, getting S ranks with Shadow is far worse.
Get Rank S in all Acts in Shadow Generations.
Obtaining all the S ranks with Shadow is much harder for various reasons. For one, the levels are generally longer and a little tougher, but two, there’s no Perfect Bonuses. That element helped a lot with Sonic’s campaign, as A rank scores were pretty lenient, and as long as you got the A rank and the Perfect Bonus, the S rank was yours.
With Shadow’s levels, you have to get S ranks all on your own with your base score, and they are tight. Sometimes, you’ll be off by a thousand points, and that can be really frustrating. Getting Shadow’s S ranks actually requires some mastery in the game, not just practice.
Get all Red Star Rings.
Sonic definitely has it easier than Shadow in terms of collectibles. There’s only a few collectible types, and only two are found in stages. Those are the Chao, which are new to this remaster, and Red Star Rings. Chao are pretty easy to find, and you’ll often spot them on the direct path, but Red Star Rings prove much harder to get.
You definitely want to use a guide for this, as Red Star Rings usually will be found on alternate paths that beginners won’t know about. Sometimes, you might barely miss a Red Star Ring, and at that point, you’ll want to die to restart at the last checkpoint. That’s frustrating, and when you respawn, you must redo all your progress, including collectibles.
Open all Collection Boxes in White Space.
Up there with the worst collectibles in gaming history, the Collection Boxes are a total hassle. Before even trying to open them all, you’re best off getting all the keys first. They’re placed in every single level and challenge, too. The time spent replaying all these stages is completely absurd, and it would have been great if you could find many of these keys in the hub area, but no.
Even after getting all the keys, you then move on to part two of the achievement, which is finding and opening all the chests. Just use achest guide here to speed up time, as you’re probably close to platinuming the game at this point in the achievement list.
Get all collectibles in Shadow Generations.
Getting every single collectible in Shadow Generations does consist of tasks relating to other achievements, but there are a few collectibles exclusive to (Hedge)Hogging It All Up. For one, you haveGerald’s Journal, which you get from drones. Those drones can be a pain to spawn, but you also have hub area challenges requiring you to go through an obstacle course or get enough rings, and those can be tricky to spot.
The worst ones, though, are the musical notes on Challenge Act doors. Once you ring the bell, you must catch the musical note, and while some are easy, others are frustrating like no other. They give off nasty flashbacks to collecting orbs in Crackdown 2, and that’s never a good thing.
