It’s only a little more than a month untilSonic 3speeds into cinemas - hard to believe we’re here five years after the disastrous debut of the first film’s trailer. The first two movies teased which character from the games would be joining the movies next, and director Jeff Fowler confirmed this week that tradition will continue in Sonic 3, basically confirming there will also be a fourth movie in the process.
During the credits of the firstSonic the Hedgehog, a portal opens and Tails appears, voiced by Coleen Ann O’Shaughnessy making Tails the only character in the movies so far who is voiced by the same actor who speaks for them in the games. At the end of Sonic 2, Shadow is shown on the ARK space station. Now fans are trying to guess which character will be introduced to the Sonic cinematic universe next, although let’s be honest, we were all doing that even before Fowler confirmed someone else is incoming.

It’s fun to see the fan debates online about who’s coming up next, who’s going to be teased at the end of the film. We have a lot of the same conversations. We’ve all got our favorites on the filmmaking side, and we’re all making great cases for ‘it should be this one or that one.’… This movie is no different in terms of teasing new characters.
Sonic 3 Will Introduce At Least One More Character To The Movies
Who’s It Going To Be?
Fowler confirming that at least one new character will be introduced has sent the theories regarding who it might be into overdrive. While there are some obvious choices, my favorite suggestion so far is a panicked Big The Cat climbing out of a pile of rubble at the end of the movie, frantically trying to find a lost Froggy.
Lots of fans have been making jokes about characters like Pikachu and Solid Snake appearing to invite Sonic to aSuper Smash Bros.Initiative or, my second favorite suggestion after Big and Froggy, Mario stepping out of a portal to invite Sonic to the Olympics. As for the more likely picks, Amy feels like the obvious choice, but there’s a chance she’s introduced during the movie like Knuckles. Other options include Silver, Blaze, Rouge, or perhaps Metal Sonic since the Dr. Robotnik contraption has technically been a part of the Sonic series for longer than anyone outside of Sonic and Tails.
