Solasta 2 follows on from the first game, released in 2021
The first game in the series,Solasta: Crown of the Magister, launched back in 2021. It uses Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition rules, so it will be familiar to any tabletop fans - or anyone looking for another RPG to jump on afterBaldur’s Gate 3. From what we can see in the trailer, the sequel does too. The first game was also met with widely positive reviews, putting the sequel in a good place when it comes to early access.
Solasta: Crown of the Magister was just ported to PS5 earlier this year. It’s also available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
As per the trailer’s description, the early access period will only be available on PC. However, with the previous game being ported to both Xbox and PlayStation, it’s possible that it will make its way to other platforms later on, perhaps for its full launch.
The Game Awards is still ongoing, with plenty of reveals still to come. So far,we’ve had a cinematic trailer for The Witcher 4, confirming that the game will centre on Ciri as our new protagonist.FromSoftware also revealed a new game, Elden Ring: Nightreign, which will include co-op multiplayer. It is set to launch at some point in 2025.
