These leaks are of importance to collectors of the English TCG as many of these cards will make up the highly anticipated next set,Journey Together.
Japanese Collectors Are Revealing Pokemon TCG Journey Together Cards
The Pokemon TCG is already in a bad way. Ipublished a report last weekthat showed scalpers are running riot,stock issues are rife, and card prices and sealed product prices are increasing by up to 150 percent. Battle Partners and Journey Together certainly don’t look like they’re going to help matters.
So far, around a dozen of Battle Partners' best cards have been revealed, and it’s an ominous sign for collectors.
A big part of why prices are so wild at the moment is because the Pokemon TCG is pushing out beautiful cards featuring some of the series' most popular creatures, a trend that has continued here.
One of the major chases in the upcoming set will be the Lillie’s Clefairy SIR. Lillie cards already command a premium, and with art as nice as this, things are going to get expensive.
Matters aren’t helped by the fact that there are at least two other Lillie cards in the set, with one featuring Ribombee, and a second Clefairy.
Another trainer who often commands a high fee when they appear on a card is Iono, who has a few brilliant-looking cards herself.
A trio of cards featuring Iono and her Scarlet and Violet Pokemon have been revealed, one with Bellibolt, one with Wattrel, and a third with Kilowattrel.
While not as popular, Sword and Shield’s Hop has a pair of cards with Zacian, and Black and White’s N has more stunning cards featuring Reshiram and Zoroark, plus there’s a stunning Salamence Special Illustration Rare, too.
On paper, looking at these cards, it seems like The Pokemon Company has another pair of home-run expansions on its hands. Journey Together wasalready selling for big moneybefore these cards were revealed, and with so many potential high-value chase cards in the set, it’s certainly not going to get any cheaper.
