Pokemon Trading Card Game’s Prismatic Evolutions Seemingly Has God Packs
Prismatic Evolutions is what’s known as a holiday set. That means the normal rules of the Pokemon TCG’s packs don’t apply. There are no booster boxes, and theycaninclude god packs. It looks like this latest set definitely has the latter.
Shared byReddit user Presigious_Park_856is a video of an early opening of Prismatic Evolutions in which the person recording received eight Special Illustration Rares in a single pack.
The pulls came from a ‘Rip n Ship’ stream in which the lucky buyer will get what are arguably the eight most-wanted cards in the expansion. The seller first pulled Leafeon ex, then Flareon ex, Vaporeon ex, Glaceon ex, Jolteon ex, Espeon ex, Sylveon ex, and finally, the big one, Umbreon ex.
With cards from this set already selling for a small fortune, includingthe Pokemon Center exclusive Elite Trainer Box Eevee promo, the buyer certainly got their money’s worth.
This is the second such report of Prismatic Evolutions containing god packs, with a videoposted on Twitterfeaturing a ‘demi-god pack’, which included an Espeon ex, Umbreon ex, and Teal Mask Ogrepon ex.
Prismatic Evolutions' popularity is likely down to a few reasons. The ‘chase’ cards in the set closely resemble those inEvolving Skies, a set which, in recent months, hasskyrocketed in price. It also helps that Eevee and its evolutions are genuinely popular Pokemon, and the TCG is also likely seeing a bit of a surge thanks toPokemon TCG Pocket.
