Path of Exile 2’s latest update has destroyed certain builds, many of which are Sorc or Deadeye-focused. While certain nerfs were accepted by the community, changes to the Trigger Gem system have left some builds “unusable”.
Effectively, the system has been changed in such a way that the probability of triggering some of the game’s most useful automatic effects and attacks is now much, much lower, making builds that rely on them fundamentally useless.
This has caused uproar in the Path of Exile 2 community, with dozens of threads popping up on thegame’s subredditand many players claiming the developers are not respecting their time.

The crux of the issue for some players is not so much that their builds have been broken, butit’s the gold it costs to respec in the game. The cost torespecdoesn’t change depending on how many skills you’ve unlocked, so resetting a whole skill tree is extortionately expensive, making high-level characters unattainably difficult to recover.
