Stage Fright hones in on two-player co-op
Hello Games also reassures us that Stage Fright two-player co-op will be playable both offline and online, following on fromOvercooked 2introducing online play. In this regard, it’s also compared toIt Takes Two, as the publisher is confident that players are looking for more multiplayer games to try out.
“The game is packed with co-op mechanics - Overcooked style chaotic moments mixed with escape room style cooperation,” a Hello Games rep told us. “Nothing else really played like Overcooked when it came out, and Stage Fright is just as innovative, but in a really different direction.
“The setting is magical and spooky, think Luigi’s Mansion meets Overcooked with a really charming story. Everyone loved characters like the Onion King in Overcooked, but this is much more touching, with a real heart.”
Hello Games also adds that there will be more to say about Stage Fright “over the next 12 months”, so it looks like we’re still a little ways off from launch. Still, we can now see what the Overcooked team have been up to over the past few years, we’ll just have to wait and see when it’s ready to play.
