Blangonga And Lagiacrus Could Be Returning For Monster Hunter Wilds

A couple of weeks back, datamining began, revealing the potentialreturns of the Gravios, Gypceros, Nerscylla, and Gore Magala. Now, new information fromReddit user TheNadei, has revealed a bunch more monsters that could be making a comeback.

It appears that theBlangonga, a fanged ape-like monster similar to Rajang, will be returning to the game.

Every monster in the Monster Hunter series is given an ID that it retains across every game. By looking at the game’s source code, TheNadei has managed to match some of the Wild’s monster IDs with previous games.

Using this method, it appears that theBlangonga, a fanged ape-like monster similar to Rajang, will be returning to the game for the first time since Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. It will be joined byLagriacrus, a Leviathan that’s not been seen since Generations Ultimate, and theSeregios,Anjanath, andOdogaron, which were inMonster Hunter Rise SunbreakandMonster Hunter World, respectively.

Alongside the returning monsters, the datamine hints at six potential locations, which the game’s files call Desert, Forest, Oil, Grave, Priestess, and Wall. And TheNadei also broke down the game’s potential breaks, which could hint at some new monsters, with parts such as Trunk and Antennae found in the files.

Of course, until this is confirmed byCapcom, don’t count your chickens. But it certainly seems exciting.
