With the series really breaching the mainstream with Worlds in 2018, it was only a matter of time before it got a big mobile exclusive, and that’s exactly what’s coming asCapcom, in collaboration with TiMi Studio Group, has revealedMonster Hunter Outlanders.

Monster Hunter Outlanders Announced For Mobile

Outlanders presents Monster Hunter’s first major foray into mobile. Sure, it has Monster Hunter Now, but that’s more of a social game than a mainline one.

The game, which is being developed by Tencent subsidiary TiMi (Call of Duty Mobile, Pokemon Unite, Age of Empires Mobile), promises players an “authentic hunting experience in a massive open world.”

In the official release, the studio detailed the following points, which will be music to Monster Hunter fans' ears:

From the trailer, various fan-favorite monsters can be seen, including the Anjanath and Jyuratodus, alongside weapons and armor sets made popular in the mainline Monster Hunter games. The trailer also offers a look at some potential mechanics new to the series, including a full paraglider and the ability to fire yourself from a stationary ballista.

Although the developers have confirmed the game has yet to receive a release date, it will be conducting “several play tests” between now and launch.
