Venom’s Backside Is The Talk Of Marvel Rivals' New Event
The Marvel Rivals team knew exactly what it was doing when it put out thetwo-minute trailerfor its upcoming Winter Celebration, Joyful Jubilation.
The trailer features everything you need to know about the new event, including information on its new 4v4Jeff the Land Shark-focused Splatoon-like mode. But, after almost exactly a minute, the video turns into a thirst trap.
Cutting to a buff, icy-white Venom, things get a little bit spicy. The trailer pans around the Spider-Man villain, right to his behind, showing off what is an extremely cakey butt. Matters are made worse as at the exact moment it pans over his derrière, Venom says, “Time to feast.” Of course, the internet went wild for it.
Within minutes, social media was awash with posts fawning over Eddie Brock’s bum.
Dozens of tweets appeared with playersclaiming"the Marvel Rivals devs knew exactly what everyone wanted for Christmas," and Reddit was no different.
Over on theRivals subreddit, apostwas created to discuss the game’s new “Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival” mode, but it was immediately hijacked by fans looking for a slice of venom.
The overriding comments focused on the word “cake”, with Venom’s buns described as such multiple times throughout the conversation. “New update to Venom: He’s now more caked up than a bakery,” onesaid.
It’s not the first time that Venom and his “hear me out” nature have been used to advertise a product, either. Ahead of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s launch, thePlayStation UK Twitter Accounttold players to “Treat yourself to 19-inches of Venom” when advertising the game’s collector’s edition. Sex sells, folks.
