A lot of the discussions revolving aroundMarvel Rivalsduring its first three weeks have been rooted in the balance between its characters, or more specifically, a lack of it. Jeff the Land Shark has been at the center of many of these heated discussions, and the discovery of something else the adorable little strategist can do to further annoy his enemies is only going to make those discussions even hotter.
Each hero in Marvel Rivals has an Ultimate. An Ultimate takes a while to charge and is usually more powerful than anything else at your disposal. Effectively a finishing move, Jeff’s Ultimate has him swallow up as many rivals and allies as he can, healing teammates while they’re in his stomach but hurting enemies.
Jeff players can either spit out the players in his stomach at will or wait until the Ult has played out at which point everyone still trapped inside Jeff will come flying out. Already a pretty powerful and effective move, Rivals player danielb1013 has shared a way you can annoy the opposing team even more when using Jeff - by bringing them into your spawn room and finishing them off there.

Suddenly Being Dumped Off The Side Of The Stage Doesn’t Seem All That Bad
The clip, which was shared byMarvel Rivals Media on Twitter, shows Jeff using his Ult and then making a beeline back to his team’s base. Rival bases are off-limits so you might have expected the enemy to have been removed from Jeff’s tummy as he passes through the door. That doesn’t happen and instead, the player comes into the otherwise off-limits based with Jeff, immediately getting KO’d once the Ult has ended.
What isn’t cleared up by the clip is whether the instant KO happens because the enemy in Jeff’s belly has run out of health, or because enemies aren’t supposed to be in there and the game instantly KOs them if it happens. If that didn’t happen, it’s possible enemies could be trapped in there and if that’s possible, this crafty Jeff tactic goes from being annoying to game-breaking.
There aresuggestions from some playersthat the clip is post-patch and before it, Jeff could indeed use his Ult to trap players in his team’s base.
For example, if an enemy isn’t instantly KO’d upon being brought into their rivals' base, and they also can’t leave without being swallowed by Jeff, that would make it possible to trap an entire team in there while you escort Knull’s Essence, Spider-Zero, or whatever else is demanded of you entirely unbothered. An instant KO seems the more likely outcome here, and it’s also likely this trick gets patched fast, so use it while you still can.
