One of the strongest elements of Marvel Rivals is its surprisingly stacked roster,which includes heavy-hitters like Deadpool, Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Iron Manas well as more obscure picks like Squirrel Girl and everyone’s best frenemy Jeff the Land Shark.While the roster is already huge, there are far more heroes and villains on the way.
Thanks to dataminers and leakers, we already know about a ton of characters that are planned for Marvel Rivals,such as all of the members of the Fantastic Four, Ultron, Blade, and more. That extensive list looks like it’s going to grow even bigger, as a dataminer has seemingly revealed a whole new batch of characters that are in the works.
Deadpool Is Seemingly In The Works For Marvel Rivals
As highlighted by Insider Gaming, the list of upcoming characters comes from Twitter user X0X_LEAK, a relatively new account that has quickly garnered a following. In their tweet,X0X_LEAK says that the heroes and villains currently being worked on within the launch build of Marvel Rivalsinclude, Deadpool, Hit-Monkey, Captain Marvel, Emma Frost, Jean Gray, Modok, and Angela.
Although some of the suggested heroes and villains, such as Angela and Modok, are a bit of a surprise, the rest of the apparent roster additions all make sense. Deadpool is perhaps one of the biggest omissions from the game currentlyand there are a bunch of easter eggs and references to him within Rivals already.
Gwen Stacey could also end up joining Marvel Rivals in the future, as a reference to her costume can be found on a drum set on the Spider Islands map.
Notably, the list of leaked characters doesn’t reference any of the ones that we already know are in the works like Mr Fantastic, The Human Torch, Blade, and Ultron. These characters are all likely to be next in line to join the game, so it seems that X0X_LEAK is highlighting some heroes who are a bit further down the line.
That wasn’t all that X0X_LEAK had to reveal about Rivals, though, as they also shared a list of some upcoming team-ups and who they’ll involve, such as Squirrel Girl and Rocket Raccoon and Wolverine and Jean Gray. They also suggested that maps based on Krakoa, Arakko, and New York are all in the game’s files.
