Marvel Rivals Datamine Reveals The Thing's Design

Marvel Rivalsdataminers have unearthed the first image of Fantastic Four member The Thing, confirming leaks that suggested he’d end up on the roster and showing off his design.

Even though Marvel Rivals has justlaunched with a humongous roster of 33 characters that puts most other hero shooters to shame(you know the ones I mean), its stacked lineup is far from finished. As a live-service game, more heroes and villains are planned to join, andconsidering how many Marvel characters haven’t been included yet, the possibilities are endless.

That’s exciting and all, but we actually already know plenty of the characters who are eventually coming to Marvel Rivals.Dataminers found a huge list of heroes during the game’s beta, which has since beenexpanded with models, movesets, and more for a variety of characters. There’s one family in particular who has been getting a lot of attention.

Don’t Worry, The Thing Will Have Big Brows In Marvel Rivals

I am, of course, referring to the Fantastic Four. Marvel’s first family were included in the initial text datamine, but two of the four members have since had their designs shared.Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, was shown off first a few months ago, while Reed Richards,Mr Fantastic, had his surprisingly buff self shown off just a few days ago. Now it’s Ben Grimm’s turn.

Over on Twitter,RivalsLeaks shared the first-ever image of Marvel Rivals' take on The Thing, which was found within the game’s files. The image itself doesn’t show off his finished 3D model, as it actually looks like it’s a spray or piece of concept art. Whatever the case, it gives us a good idea of how he’ll look.

Just like the other Fantastic Four members that we’ve seen so far, The Thing’s suit (or rather, shorts) will have a white, blue, and black colour design instead of the typical blue and black we’re all used to. Ben Grimm also has massive eyebrows, which shouldplease anyone with good taste who prefers him to have them.

If you’re not a fan of the white, black, and blue, it’s worth remembering that Rivals will undoubtedly have a ton of different skins for all of the Fantastic Four members.

While it’s too early to say, it seems that The Thing is a little less developed than Mr Fantastic and the Human Torch, as a 3D model for him hasn’t been found yet. That being said, we do at least know for sure that three Fantastic Four members are on the way, with Sue Richards, the Invisible Woman, fittingly remaining hidden for now.
