Back in August,it was reported that Round 8 was hiring a field level plannerwith “extensive experience playing open world level games” and “anyone with experience in creating a seamless world”. Given that Lies of P ends with a tease for what is presumably a sequel, it was believed this listing was for that game and that the series would be going open-world. But that might not be the case.
According to Korean websiteEBM, Neowiz and Round8 are recruiting for level designers and scenario planners for a “survival horror project set in a Sci-Fi world,” which will be built using Unreal Engine 5 and is set to launch on PC and consoles.

Neowiz responded to EBN’s request for comment, saying, “It is still too early to disclose the progress of the project,” however, it did confirm that “It is one of the PC and console games that Round 8 Studio is preparing,” giving hope that a Lies of P sequel is still in the works.
Lies Of P’s First DLC Will Launch In Q1 2025
While details of the Lies of P sequel are unclear, it’s not all bad for fans of the Pinnochio-inspired Soulslike.
EBN confirms that the game’s first DLC will be released in the first quarter of next year. This hasslipped from Q4 of this year, into the very busy Q1 of next, but it’s more content for the game, which is great.
The team at Round8 has made no secret that it was developing additional content for the game,discussing it as far back as 2022, and to celebrate the game’s first anniversary, director Jiwon Choi shared afirst look at the expansion on social media.
