For a lot ofCall Of Duty: Black Ops 6players, Zombies looks interesting but overwhelming. With easter eggs to complete, secrets to find, and thousands of zombies to kill, there’s a lot to think about. Unlike in the original Zombies maps, there are multiple paths and you have to choose where to go and when.
To help out, Treyarch has introduced a Zombies Directed mode towalk you through the more complex parts of the game, allowing you to focus on killing zombies. Before you jump in, it’ll help you to understand exactly what Directed Mode does and what it changes to make things easier.
How To Play Zombies Directed Mode
Now that Season One has launched, you can start a Directed mode match as soon as you load into the Zombies mode. Before you choose your map and whether you want to play solo or not, you can choose between Standard and Directed.
Then, rewards will be altered and you can choose your loadout before jumping in. That’s all you need to do. As long as you choose Directed when you see the option, the game you load into will be simplified.
How It Works
As for what Directed Mode changes in Zombies - that is pretty obvious as soon as you start. Whileall the objectives remainthe same and you have to take onzombies in the same places, you’ll be shown where to go.
There’s a maximum round cap of 15 and all Side Quests and S.A.M. Trials are disabled in Directed Mode.
Right from the start of a match, you’ll now see orange diamond on the HUD, showing where you need to go next. If there are multiple options to progress, they will be shown on-screen. That helps you avoid spending money on opening doors that don’t actually help you progress. You’ll able to beeline it to the objective.
That’s all that changes. TheZombies experience is still mostly the same, it just takes the confusion of navigation away to give you less to think about.
