InFields of Mistria, you’ll constantly race against the clock to get everything done in a day. However, there are easier ways to get around. Sure, you could drink a large supply of coffee, but what if you could ride one your horses into town without losing track of them?
With mounts added to Fields of Mistria, you can get around much faster without worrying about the time so much. Finally, late night trips won’t leave you passed out in a field. Here’s everything you need to know to unlock mounts and customize them at your leisure in Fields of Mistria!

Where To Find The Weathervane
After youupgrade Hayden’s barnat Sweetwater Farm, you’ll wake up the next day to find outa strong wind has blown throughtown. So strong, in fact, that itripped the new weathervane right off the roofof Hayden’s barn!
He hopes you canhelp him find itbefore Landen or Ryis notice, and tells you that he thinks itlanded somewhere in the Narrowsbased on the direction of the wind.
Despite the sense of urgency, youdon’t have to rush offright away. Take care of your chores, first!
Make your way northwest to the Narrows,crossing over the river by the waterfall, just below the path to the ruins. Here, you’llfind the severed weathervane–and a brand-new horse statue!
The horse statue definitely wasn’t here before, but there’s no prompt to interact with it outside your own curiosity.
Return the weathervane to Haydento complete the quest, but the true reward is the mysterious horse statue.
How To Unlock Mounts
Interact with the horse statue andoffer it 100 Essence. When you do, amystical horse named Mistmare will appear! This unlocks the mount feature, allowing you tosummon a spectral horseat will and ride across the fields of Mistria.
Youdon’t need a stableto house your mount, thankfully, since they are a magical creature. You cansummon them and dismiss themas needed, and theywon’t require any sort of carelike your other animals would.
How To Upgrade Mounts
You canupgrade your mountat the statue, much like you wouldupgrade and unlock new skills. There are currently only three skills available at tier one:
200 Essence
Harvest Horse
When Mistmare runs over a forage spot or fully grown crop, it will pop from the ground.
190 Essence
Nice Ride
The appearance of your Mistmare can now be customized to include large animals you have five hearts with.
205 Essence
How To Customize Mounts
You can customize your mount at any time, including changing Mistmare’s name and appearance. Simply open your notebook,select the Animals tab, and select your mount. You canselect the pencil icon to change their name!
If you’vepurchased the Nice Ride skillfrom the statue, you can alsoswap out your mist mountfor one of your larger animals. This includescows and horses, as well as many others you find in the barn. You can ride these animals instead, using the same magical method.
Any decorations your animals wear will be kept, so you can ride a cow with a crown or a horse with a unicorn horn!
