Disney Dreamlight Valleyfeatures an iconic cast of classic Disney and Pixar characters. All of them come together to create a magical aura that’s inviting and playful. However, it’s not just the heroes that will join you in your adventures–several villains will make an appearance.
Hades is one such villain, and he’s a cold-blooded hothead. As the Lord of the Underworld, he’s used to delegating tasks to his minions and vying for power he doesn’t have. He’ll happily add you the ranks of minions, whether you like it or not, but that’s only if you can help him out first.
How To Unlock Hades
Being neighbors withthe Lord of the Underworldis an exciting prospect, but it will take a bit of work to find and unlock him. For starters, he’snot available right awaywhen you arrive in the Storybook Vale, and you’ll have tocomplete a few quests firstbefore you’re able to befriend this fiend.

A Land Of Myths And Legends Quest Walkthrough
Once you unlock the first region in Mythopia, the Elysian Fields, you’re free to explore it. Make your way to the east to find the first Mythic Trial site, then report your findings to the Lorekeeper in her library.

She’ll have youseek out Merida’s help, and the two of you willhead off towards the trial site. On the way there, you’llfind two floating blue objectsthat look like Will-o'-the-Wisps.Catch them, then bring them to Meridaat the Mythic Trial site.
The wisps are actually blue flames, and you’ll need todeposit one into each of the braziers. Then, use your net on the spinning wheel toopen the portalto the Mythic Trial.
Guts & Glory Quest Walkthrough
Once inside the portal, you haveaccess to the first Mythic Trial. Here, you’llmeet Hades and help him navigate the trialto retrieve the cart full of amphora vases bearing his visage.

Using your Royal Net to adjust platforms so you can cross the chasm, you’ll continue topush the cartuntil it reaches the end of its track. From there, you’llfollow Hades to the source of corruptionand interact with it.
It willbring you back to the Elysian Fields, where Hades will ask you tobuild him a house. After you do, you can officially welcome him into your village.
How To Unlock More Of Hades' Friendship Quests
Tounlock more of Hades' friendship quests, you’ll need to spend time with him andbecome better friends. you’re able to do this by giving him gifts,having daily discussions, and playing Scramblecoin (if you have the A Rift In Time Expansion Pass).
You cangive Hades a roleto play in the village upon reaching level two, which will allow him tohelp you obtain additional materialswhile fishing, mining, foraging, harvesting, digging, or catching Snippets.
Every few levels, you’llunlock a new friendship questto complete, which will expand upon Hades' community contributions and give him a personal arc.
Completing these quests willreward you with new items, whether they are recipes, furniture items, or clothing, so it’s worth trying to get to know your neighbors.
Upon reaching level ten, you’ll unlockHades' best friend quest. This wraps up his personal arc andprovides a special rewardfor your efforts!
