The Chef profession inBrighter Shoresgives you the ability to cook a wide range of meals from simple sandwiches to hearty stews filled with eel. Cooking a meal will give you some experience for your profession, but eventually, you’ll also be able to unlock bounties.
In this guide, we are going to take a look at how to unlock and complete Chef’s bounties in Brighter Shores. This process is fairly simple but if you are breezing through the game, it may be easy to miss where or what the bounty board actually is.
Brighter Shores is currently in Early Access on Steam and as such, the content is subject to change. We will update these articles as required.
Where Is the Chef’s Bounty Board?
The Chef’s Bounty Board can be found in The Delectable Dab Kitchen. This is the back room of the Delectable Dab Restaurant, which liesdirectly across the Apothecary. In this kitchen, you’ll also be able tocook and sell meals to the chef wandering around.
Facing the entrance to the kitchen, the board is to the right.
How To Use The Bounty Board
Once youreach level nine in the Chef profession, the Chef’s Bounty Board will unlock for you. To reach this cooking level, we recommend justcooking the highest-level dishes that you can.For example, if you are only level six, make a bunch ofBasic Sausage and Mashuntil you unlock the Vegetable Stew recipe. From here, make that until you reach level nine.
If you are at least level four in the Alchemist profession, you canmake a potion that boosts your Hopeport XP.
After you’ve unlocked the board, you canimmediately begin to take bounties.Four will appear at a time, displayingrequests from people around Hopeport who request a certain food. The dish in question will bewithin your level rangewhich means that as you level up, more foods will be requested.
you’re able to accept all four bounties, or just a few at a time. If you wait for the amount shown on the timer, thenthe bounty will refresh and a new one will display.Any bounties that you accept will be tracked in theclipboard icon on the right-hand side of the screen.
Rewards For Completing Bounties
While the requirements for some bounties may seem a bit silly (such as requesting ten Omelettes),the rewards are well worth it.In addition to getting experience from cooking the food, you’ll earn ahefty chunk of experience and money.
For example, we completed a quest to deliver seven basic Chicken and Leek Pies to Robyan at the Vincible. The reward for completing this was11 silver and 500 copper, as well as 1,259 Chef experience.
Overall, completing bounties is agreat way to level your Chef profession and make money at the same time.Once you reach level nine, we highly recommend focusing your leveling efforts on completing bounties. If you are already making the dishes, you might as well get the extra experience!
