Throughout the main story ofDragon Age: The Veilguard, you’ll come in contact with two powerful elven gods: Ghilan’nain and Elgar’nan, who are determined to blight the world at any cost. While your early battles against Ghilan’nain are epic moments with plenty of explosions and action, Blood of Arlathan requires you to use your cunning and ingenuity to catch the enemy off guard.

However, this operation isn’t an attack, but a rescue, as you must infiltrate a Venatori camp and release some captured Dalish prisoners. Getting into the camp is simple enough, but you’ll need a bit of cunning if you want to make it out of there with the Dalish prisoners and your lives intact.

Rook receives their Blood Of Arlathan Reward in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

How To Save The Dalish

TheVenatori have been a nuisance since the early portion of Rook’s journey, and they’re back as you travel to their camp inArlathan Craterduring theBlood Of Arlathanquest.

Feel free to bringyour favorite companion duofor this mission, but prepare to face enemies who are weak toCold and Fire.

Once you’re wearing the disguises provided by Irelin and Strife, you can infiltrate the Venatori camp by progressing from theForest Overlookby taking thezipline to the Temple of the Sun.

Sneak past the Venatori while they perform a sacrifice here, then follow your marker until you’restopped by a Venatori guard.

After a brief conversation, continue following the pathuntil you trigger and witness acutscenefeaturing Elgar’nan and his Archdemon.

Once the interlude is over, run through the Ruined Aqueductas quickly as possible; the Venatori are now alerted to your presence.

Fight the Venatorihere (weak toCold, resistFire) and follow the pathsouthwestwhere you’ll fight another group.

Once the Venatori go down, go up the hill to theTemple Gardenswhere another Venatoriambushawaits.

Brush them to the side as quickly as possible, then gonorththrough the area where you’ll encounter yet another ambush – this time, darkspawn are waiting.

Now that the area is cleared, you’ll see a Venatori crystal puzzle, with thefirst crystal you need to destroy behind a blue barrier.

Go up the stairs and around to the roof of the enclosure, thendrop into the barrier room through a hole in the roofand destroy the crystal.

Pick up the triangular Dalish artifactto deactivate the barrier, then bring this artifact to thereceptacle on the north sideof the room and enter the door it unlocksto break another crystal.

Defeat the darkspawn enemies, then head back up the ladder to the Venatori barrier and break thecrystal on the right, then destroy thefloatingone, andanother crystal through a crack in the wall, adjacent to a shielded crystal.

Break the remaining crystals in front of the door and head through the archway until youreach the Court Of Tribute.

How To Defeat The Blood Forge

Attempt to exit the area, but you’ll be trapped by the gate and forced to fend off more Venatori after the initial wave.

Be sure todestroythecrystals that can generate barrier shieldson the Venatori here, or you will not be able to damage them.

Once two waves are defeated, theBlood Forge(weak toCold, resistsFire) will activate and join the fray.

This Physical Imbued enemy should hit hard but go down relatively quickly, especially if you brought Neve along with you.

Once the Blood Forge goes down, head through the gate to theSanctum Halls and into Elgar’nan’s trap.

After a few attempts to escape that are all doomed to fail, you’ll encounter anAlpha Emissary(weak toFire, resistsNecrotic) to defeat, which isn’t difficult to deal with if you strike at its weakness.

Try to escape again, until you hearSolascall out and initiate a conversation.

After the dialogue, follow your marker forward anddestroy the Blight Boilsto open a door and get the Dalish artifact needed tocreate a bridge across the gap.

Destroy more Blight Boils here along with a group of darkspawn, then clear the path to the exit door, where you’ll return to theTemple Library.

Pass through the door and fight the Venatori in the next room, thendestroy floating crystals to clear the barriers.
