Taking a slightly different tack from previous entries in the series,Dynasty Warriors: Originsoffers a far more focused scope on the story of The Romance of the Three Kingdoms. This manifests as a totally original character who acts as a player-insert, who gets to experience firsthand the events of the game.
At the beginning of the game, you are prompted to name this character, with the generic ‘Wanderer’ as a default. There are a few reasons you might not want to stick with whatever you chose at this point in the game, from the reveal of his old name to going for a meme that doesn’t get the laughs it did within the first five minutes. How To Rename The Wanderer
The ability to rename the Wanderer isn’t unlocked by default - you must firstprogress the main storyuntil you reachChapter 2. After a few interludes (cutscenes) and the first stage, the Suppression of You Province, you’llmeet a character named Yuanhua, who will accompany you from here on out.
Once Yuanhua has joined you, you canrewatch past Story scenes at any Inn/Camp. These are arranged chronologically.
If yourewatch the Interlude ‘Talking by the Fire’, which is found towards the end of the Prologue chapter, you will be prompted to rename the Wanderer, as if the scene is playing out for the very first time. The change you make here will stick, allowing you to rename the main character whenever you wish and as many times as you like.
