Champions games are typically high-paced, so it’sa smart strategytohave fast players as your wingers. For example, we’ve used Jack Grealish and Bukayo Saka as our wingers and their speed and dribbling stats help me effectively bring the ball into the opponent’s half.

You can change each player’s role by opening your squad, pressing L3,and navigating to Team Management.

In addition to having fast wingers, it’s crucial tobuild a strong midfield, as a good midfield can win you many games. If your main Striker (ST) is set to a False Nine role, try assigning yourAttacking Midfielder(CAM)theShadow Striker roleto maximize attacking potential.

If you’re playing a4-3-3 formation, ensure that both of your midfielders are set to thebox-to-box role. This will help you cover the pitch effectively, supporting both attacking and defending.

If you have the option to include quick defenders like Van De Ven, Eder Militao, and Ledley King, you’re able to experiment with a high defensive line. With this setup, your right and left backs can act as wingbacks, staying involved in both defense and attack.

Finally, the most important role to consider is the goalkeeper. The key is to set yourgoalkeeper’s player role as a Sweeper Keeper. Since your defensive line is positioned high up the pitch, thisallows the keeper to charge outandclear the ballif the opponent’s striker manages to break through your defenders.

You can edit your Defensive Approach by pressing L3 and then navigating to Team Management.

It might take some time to get used to a new squad and formation, but once you master it, it becomes very challenging for opponents to break through. Here are all the players we used for the Champions, and you can try out a similar team and tactics to see how they work for you.
