Zenless Zone Zerohas been celebrating New Year 2025 alongside the release of version 1.5. As such, they released a massive event alongside a plethora of other rewards to commemorate the celebration, thereby bringing joy and excitement for the players.
The name of this event is The Day of Brilliant Wishes and it involves the featured 5-star units of version 1.5, Astra Yao and Evelyn. However, the event can be a bit confusing and if you aren’t sure how to proceed, this guide will help you go through it and claim the rewards in no time.
The Day Of Brilliant Wishes Eligibility
The Day of Brilliant Wishesstarted on June 17, 2025, and willconclude on July 09, 2025. This means it will last for theentire duration of patch 1.5, which will allow you to finish it at your own pace. You’ll also have to reachInter Knot level 15and complete theSoldier 11 Agent Story Mole in the Holeto participate in the event.
Additionally, the game will recommend youfinish the quest Astra-Nomical MomentSpecial Episode featuring Astra Yao and Evelyn, which is also the main story quest for version 1.5. While it’s not necessary, if you directly jump into the event, there will be several dialogues in the event that will feel out of place to you.
Apart from that, you’ll also be spoiled by names and characters that are mentioned in the event, but they feature only in the story.
The Day Of Brilliant Wishes Overview
The Day of Brilliant Wishes is adress-up event where you have to change Eous’s outfitsand make it compete against other Bangboos. As part of the event, Astra Yao has been invited to become the guest of honour for the New Year celebration in New Eridu.
However, she needs to be accompanied by a Bangboo, and due to you being friends with her following the incidents of the story quest Astra-Nomical Moment, Astra wants Eous to be her partner Bangboo. As such, you team up with Astra and Evelyn tocollect outfits for Eous and make it competeon a stage and thereby win the Grand Finals to become Astra’s partner.
There’s also an Illumination Countdown tag at the very top of the main event page. This one fills up as you progress through the competition from the main story. Once you win the Grand Finals, the entire tab will be filled up and you’ll be able to claim the rewards.
The entire event is broadly divided into two categories:Ridu’s Got Boo and Grand Marcel Adventure. Among these,Ridu’s Got Boo features the 1v1 competitionwith other Bangboo.Grand Marcel Adventure features a Fall Guys-type eventwhere you compete against other players in co-op to come out victorious.
There is also a small section calledTailored for Boo. This is where you complete certain quests to collect new outfits for Eous. All the outfits you have collected can be checked in the Eous Maker section.
Ridu’s Got Boo
Ridu’s Got Boo is one of the key sections of the The Day of Brilliant Wishes event. This one is divided into three sub-sections:Main Competition, Extra Training, and Refinement. Among these, theMain Competition is tied to the main storyof the event.
All you need to do isfollow the various dialogues with Astra,and you’ll be able to complete it quickly. However, theExtra Training and Refinement sectionsare tied to theTailored for Boo sectionof the event.
The various sections of Extra Training and Refinementunlock as you collect more outfits from Tailored for Boo. Once the outfit has been collected, take part in the 1v1 competitions within Extra Training and Refinement and you’ll be able to claim the rewards.
Playing the 1v1 competition under Ridu’s Got Boo is also very simple. The way it works is you will be pitched against the Bangboo’s of various characters from the game itself. Once the round begins,a series of arrow keys will show up on your screenas shown in the image above.
Before jumping into the competition, you will get to select some strategies that will reward you with extra points if you end up pressing your buttons without interrupting too much. Select the appropriate strategies that fit your playstyle as it will make the 1v1 competitions a lot easier.
Press the arrow keys on your keyboardsimilar to how they are shown on the screen. Doing this will reward you with points. Once you have accumulated enough points,your Fever meter will fill up. When that happens, you’ll beprompted to press certain arrow keys aggressively. Doing so will reward you with a lot of points.
Once enough points have been accumulated, the competition will end, and you will be declared as the winner.
Tailored For Boo
This is the section where you collect new outfits for Eousand is directly tied to Ridu’s Got Boo section. Here you will have tocomplete quests that will reward you with costumesthat can be used to take part in the Ridu’s Got Boo event.
Some of these costumes which are part of the Main Competition sub-section in Ridu’s Got Boo event, will be collected simply by following the story. While the story is ongoing, you will beoccasionally taken to a hollow to defeat a few Etherealsto collect materials.
Thesematerials will be submitted to Bagbooautomatically, and you’ll get the outfits for the Main Competition. However, the rest of the outfits will have to be collected byfollowing through the various individual quests. Simplyclick on the quest, follow the quest markers, go through the dialogues, and you’ll get the outfit.
Once you receive the outfit, new stages will unlock in Ridu’s Got Boo, and you’ll need to complete them to collect all the rewards.
Grand Marcel Adventure
This is aFall Guys-type event where you play against other human playersin co-op. Your objective here is tocollect Carrotswhich are rewarded based on your position against other players, and atotal of 12 players will matchmakeat one particular instance.
The Stage willbe selected at randomand players will be dropped on the arena; once everything is ready, you’ll have topass through multiple obstaclesand reach the finish line. Finishingfirst, second, or third, will reward the most Carrotsand if you fail to reach the finish line on time, it will be counted as a failure.
You’ll needa total of 2200 Carrotsto receive all the rewards from this event. The stages aren’t very tough either and if you have some form of experience in platforming games, you’ll be able to place at higher ranks pretty consistently.
The Day Of Brilliant Wishes Rewards
Since The Day of Brilliant Wishes is a big event, you receive a plethora of rewards for completing all the activities. These rewards primarily includePolychromes, Agent Ascension materials, Skill leveling resources, and, above all, a free outfit for Nicole.

How To Claim Nicole’s Free Outfit
Nicole’s outfit is tied to the event, and you’ll need tocomplete all the chapters of The Day of Brilliant Wishes event. In other words, you’ll have to complete the main story and verify theIllumination Countdown tab is filled upwhich is done by going through the story. Once that happens, you’ll be able to claim Nicole’s outfit.
You don’t need to finish the entire event to get the outfit.
