Rice is one of the new crops introduced inFarming Simulator 25, and it’s an essential grain for survival. Just like real life, this crop has its fair share of requirements to sow, grow, and takes a decent effort for a good harvest in the end.
In Farming Simulator 25, there are two types of rice: regular Rice and Long Grain Rice. Each variety demands different seeds and equipment to grow. This guide will focus on how to successfully grow Rice. Follow these steps, and you’ll be harvesting this essential grain in no time. Let’s dive into the details.
What Do You Need To Grow Rice?
You will needfive thingsto grow Rice:
While choosing the equipment from the Packs section of the shop, be sure to keep an eye on thecompatibilityandpowerrequirements. Along with all this equipment, you willalso need a proper open spaceto build a rice paddy. To locate that, you have tolook into the building menu of the shop.
How To Grow Rice
Now comes the main part of the process – growing Rice. Once you havecollected all the equipmentmentioned above,follow these stepsto grow rice:

1. Build a Rice Paddy
From the build menu, you canselect Rice Fieldand thenchoose four cornersto finalize the space you want to grow rice in. This will cost you$1,500.
2. Build a Rice Greenhouse
Spend another$3,000to build a Greenhouse. This will come in handy formass-producing Rice Saplingswithout needing to take the route of purchasing them from vendors. All it requires is water, and you’re good to go.
Use theTractor,Cultivator, andPlanterto sow the rice saplings.
- Activate the water pump
The water pump will fill the field with adequate water as Rice grows best when there’s a lot of moisture. You need to check the level every dayor else all the saplings will die out, andyou’ll lose all the progress.
- Harvest rice
Finally, when the time comes and the crop matures, it’stime to harvest Rice using a Harvester.
When the crops startgrowingandbecome green.
Growth Stage 3
When the crops grow a little more andhues of yellow start appearing.
Growth Stage 4
When the cropturns yellow, it indicates Rice hasmatured, and it’sready to harvest.
The Harvested and Withered stages follow right after.
