If you have gotten used to planting some basic crops inFarming Simulator 25, it’s time to step it up and start to take on some challenges, and in this case, you should start growing some cotton crops. While your default equipment was adequate to grow and harvest some basic crops, you’ll need to buy additional equipment and machinery to collect your grown cotton plants.
Cotton takes a long time to grow, and you can only plant it in March, which means that you should at least prepare two or three fields to have enough yield. Cotton needs to be converted into bales while harvesting, but a specialized Harvester will do that for you.
Preparations For Growing Cotton
Before you start growing Cotton, make sure topurchase the machinery you needat the equipment shop.
Cotton plants areharvested and converted into balesusing aCotton Harvester. You also need aspecialized trailer to transport your cotton balesto the shops. If yourtractor is unbalancedwhile you load a heavy bale on it, you might need to attach a weight at the front to balance it.

If you select Cotton in the packs tab inside the shop, you will find everything you need to grow cotton.
How To Grow Cotton
As with every other crop, you need to prepare your land andplough it using any Cultivator.Once it’s ready, you can nowstart spreading Cotton seedson it.
To do that,attach your seeder to a Tractorand thenrefill it using the seed bagsyou have purchased.
You can use Fertilizer and Lime to improve the yield of your crops.
The seed bag contains various seeds, somake sure that you have Cotton selected.
Now everything is ready, and you can start planting byturning your seeder on and then lowering it. Cotton canonly be grown during Marchif you have the seasonal crops settings on.
Your crops will beready to harvest in October and November.
To make a complete cotton bale, you need to harvest 20,000 cotton, so make sure to dedicate a field or two to only growing cotton as you will need a lot.
How To Harvest Cotton
Once your Cotton is all grown and ready to harvest, it’s time to grab yourCotton Harvester and take it to the fields.
Turn on and lower the harvesterto start harvesting.Your Harvester will automatically turn the gathered cotton into balesand keep it stored inside. It will take a while to complete a bale, but hang in there and run it on the entire field.
Make sure to turn it on, otherwise a few of your Cotton plants will be destroyed.
Once your Bale is complete,unload the Harvester, and it will take the stored bale out. Now you need aCotton transporter to carry it to the shops.
Attach it to a Harvester anddrive your tractor backwardstill thebackside of the trailer is touching the cotton bale. Thenpress the Operating Position buttonand it will automatically load the cotton. Make sure topress the Transporting Position buttonif you want to carry it around tosell it to the shops.
